Elliott Yamin is Jewish, but that isn't stopping the former American Idol fifth-season finalist from releasing a holiday album full of Christmas music.

NBC Universal and  Sony/ATV Music Publishing's Hickory Records -- the label that represents Yamin -- have announced the Idol 5 third-place finisher will be one of three recording artists to release an "NBC Sounds of the Season" album.

"NBC Sounds of the Season: The Elliot Yamin Holiday Collection" will be available exclusively at Target stores and is scheduled for release on October 14.

"The opportunity is a great match," said Josh Abraham, the album's executive producer.  "We are fortunate to work with an independent artist like Elliott so we can continue to pursue creative deals like our partnership with NBC Universal and Target."

In addition to Yamin, NBC Universal will release "NBC Sounds of the Season" albums featuring country artist Taylor Swift (Big Machine Records) and songwriter KT Tunstall (Capitol Music Group).

Each of the three albums will include new versions of holiday classics as well as a few new songs written specifically for "NBC Sounds of the Season," which NBC and Target have collaborated on for each of the last five years.

"NBC Sounds of the Season: The Elliot Yamin Holiday Collection" will feature the 29-year-old Richmond, VA native's take on such classics as "This Christmas;" "Little Drummer Boy;" "Merry Christmas, Baby;" "The Christmas Song;" and "Jingle Bells."  In addition, Yamin recorded "A Very Merry Christmas," "Let's be Naughty (And Save Santa the Trip)," as well as "Warm Me Up" -- three original songs recorded exclusively for the album.

Yamin's self-titled debut album entered The Billboard 200 album-sales chart at No. 3 in early April and has since sold more than 500,000 copies.
