Ex-'The Surreal Life' housemate Jordan Knight welcomes second son

By Christopher Rocchio, 02/23/2007

Jordan Knight, the former New Kids on the Block singer and two-time The Surreal Life housemate, is the proud papa of a second son.

Eric Jacob weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces when he was born in Boston, MA on Wednesday night, Knight told People, adding his second son was born after his wife Evelyn went through "an intense labor."

"I can't believe the strength of my wife," Knight told People. "Now that the intense emotions have passed, I'm walking around on cloud nine!"

Knight and Evelyn welcomed their first son together, Dante Jordan, in August 1999.  "[Dante] wouldn't sleep for a day and a half until he saw his baby brother," Knight told People. "He was priceless."

After New Kids on the Block disbanded in 1994, Knight attempted an unsuccessful solo music career that eventually landed him a spot on The Surreal Life's third season.

Four seasons later, he returned to participate in The Surreal Life: Fame Games, an all-stars The Surreal Life edition that is currently airing on VH1.  However shortly after filming began, Knight quit the production due to the death of his grandmother.  He was replaced by The Surreal Life 4 housemate Verne "Mini Me" Troyer.

Knight, 36, told People he's currently taking some time off to be with his family.
