Smash Lab's second season, which will continue to follow a team of engineers as they find revolutionary ways to apply everyday technology, will premiere Tuesday, August 5 at 10PM ET/PT.

Similar to the show's first season, each episode will follow returning first-season Smash Lab team members Deanne Bell and Chuck Messer and new team members Nathaniel Taylor and Greg "Gadget" Abbott as they take existing technology and break it down to discover new, inventive ways it can be used.  In addition, the Smash Lab team will also explain how the different technologies came to fruition and how they can be better used.

Some of Smash Lab's second season topics will include an unsinkable car, a portable submarine and a cliff-diving car.

Some Assembly Required's second season, which will continue to show viewers the process of making and manufacturing items used in everyday life, will debut Thursday, August 7 at 9PM ET/PT.

Hosted by comedian Brian Unger, Some Assembly Required introduces viewers to the people behind the building process of various products from fire trucks to washable crayons.  In addition, the series will also highlight how everyday items are improved upon on a regular basis.

Smash Lab and Some Assembly Required both premiered on Discovery earlier this year.

In addition to Smash Lab and Some Assembly Required, Discovery also announced new Mythbusters sixth-season episodes will debut Wednesday, August 6 at 9PM ET/PT, immediately followed by Man vs. Wild's third-season premiere in the 10PM ET/PT time slot.
