Page Kennedy, 29, was let go from the ABC hit show six months ago and tabloids reported he was drinking, used drugs and exposed himself to members of the cast and crew, the Kalamazoo (Mich.) Gazette reported Tuesday.
The Detroit native and graduate of Western Michigan University told the Gazette misconduct allegations against him were "concocted."
"I don't know why or where (the allegations) came from," he said.
In addition to making producers wary of hiring him, Kennedy said he had to explain the tabloid reports to his young children.
But with "Pepper Dennis" and an April 13 guest appearance on CBS' "CSI," all of that is behind him now.
"In the end, all they've done is help me," by getting his name in front of the public, he said of the tabloid reports.
