Dancing with the Stars champ Alan Bersten is addressing whether there's any hope for romance with Hannah Brown now that the pair's professional relationship is over.

Alan and The Bachelorette star grew incredibly close during their three months of working together on Dancing with the Stars' 28th season, and because of that tight bond, dating speculation naturally came with the territory.

"Hannah and I, it was a different partnership than I've ever experienced before," Alan told People in a recent video interview.

"Because after rehearsals almost every day we would go and eat and just hang out, and that's very rare when you spend six hours with someone that you want to still see them afterwards."

The professional dancer and choreographer added, "So I'm really lucky that me and Hannah became such good friends."

When asked whether there's potential for more than just a friendship between the two, Alan replied with a laugh, "I don't think so. I think it's just friends."

But it's apparent Alan and Hannah's friendship will continue.

"Hannah and I built such an amazing relationship during these [past] 11, 12 weeks that it's nice to look back and reflect on how amazing this experience has been and what a friend I made in Hannah," Alan shared with the magazine.

Alan and Hannah, both 25, were crowned champions of Dancing with the Stars' latest season, which wrapped in late November.

The pair defeated runner-up couple Kel Mitchell and partner Witney Carson as well as third-place finishers Ally Brooke and partner Sasha Farber. Former American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina and partner Gleb Savchenko placed fourth on Season 28.

Hannah said during the Dancing with the Stars' finale that rehearsing and performing with Alan week to week allowed her "to trust somebody again."

"Hannah and I built such a good relationship throughout the season that we could really trust each other and when we had to work on a note or a critique that the judges gave us, we just went through it and we realized that the more we put in during the rehearsals, the better it's going to feel on Monday," Alan explained.

"And after every show on Monday, we looked back at the dances and we would feel good if we knew that we gave it our best."

Hannah, however, often received some tough love from the DWTS judges, especially from Carrie Ann Inaba.

At points during the show, Hannah admittedly felt personally attacked or picked on, but the reality TV star and Carrie Ann ended up hashing things out before the season came to an end.

Alan agreed the Dancing with the Stars judges were "extra critical" of Hannah's performances, but he's apparently not bitter about it.

"I feel like Hannah did such a good job and she didn't get her perfect score until the freestyle, where I feel like she really did some amazing numbers and really gave her heart out there," Alan said.

"But I can see why the judges were a little more critical of her. I feel like they wanted to really push Hannah because they saw the potential that I don't think she saw in herself yet."

"Even if the judges didn't give us the best scores," Alan added, "as long as we tried our hardest, that's when we knew we did a good job."

Hannah and Alan's victory has been a bit controversial since some might argue Ally was the best dancer remaining on the show in the finals, but the pair clearly aren't letting critics taint their experience.

Alan swore off showmances after his whirlwind romance with social-media model and influencer Alexis Ren fell through.

Alan and Alexis were partners on Dancing with the Stars' 27th season, which wrapped in November 2018, and they fell pretty hard and fast for each other.

Though they attempted to keep their on-screen romance alive after the show ended, Alan and Alexis separately alluded to a split a little over two weeks later.
