Chris Young wins USA Network's fourth 'Nashville Star' edition

A 20-year-old Tennessee college student has won the fourth season of the USA Network's "Nashville Star" talent competition.

Chris Young of Murfreesboro, Tenn., was voted by viewers the top singer/songwriter out of a field of nine Tuesday night in the country music takeoff on "American Idol," Billboard.com reported.

Young, who financed and released three albums on his own, won a Chevy Silverado truck and a recording contract with Sony BMG.
