The new made-for-TV band consists of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Voivod/ ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, MTV.com reported Wednesday.
They are under pressure to find a lead singer but so far the prospects haven't been very good.
"We're looking for that person that's gonna stand in front of the three of us and just be mean," Clarke told TV Guide in a recent interview. "Someone who's just loud."
When they do choose a vocalist, Supernova will enter the studio with producer Butch Walker to record an album. Walker worked with Lee on his 2005 solo album, "Tommyland: The Ride," and has produced and written for Pink, Avril Lavigne, Sevendust and Lindsay Lohan.
