So much for being unlucky in love.

American Idol fourth season champ Carrie Underwood reportedly helped her old flame, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, celebrate his 27th birthday last weekend in Dallas.  But the flame apparently isn't completely extinguished between the two, as "sources" told People the pair looked "cozy" together.

"Carrie and Tony were having a great time in the deejay booth [at Dallas'] Ghostbar," the source told People.  "They were laughing, singing together, holding hands and their arms were around each other all night."

What the partygoer couldn't tell People is what happened when Romo and Underwood snuck-off together into Ghostbar's VIP section, before returning to the deejay booth for "around 45 minutes," where they led the crowd in a "loud" rendition of Twisted Sisters' "We're Not Gonna Take It."

"They sang and everybody joined in -- I mean everybody," a representative for Ghostbar told People.  "It was pretty funny."  However Underwood and Romo didn't spin tunes for long, as they eventually ventured back to the VIP section together.

"They definitely weren't keeping their relationship a secret," another source told People.

Jessie Schmidt, Underwood's representative, confirmed that Underwood was at the bash to celebrate Romo's birthday and stopped just short of calling the two are an official item.

"They have recently been spending a little time together," Schmidt told People.  "[But they are] definitely not boyfriend/girlfriend.  It's very casual at this point.  It's [in the] really early stages."

The two-time Grammy winner and heir-apparent to recently retired Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe began dating in late December, when Romo officially confirmed they were together after they were seen hugging and laughing on the field at Texas Stadium on Christmas Day before the Cowboys' game against the Philadelphia Eagles.    However the couple apparently split soon after, as Romo told reporters during a pre-Super Bowl press conference, "She's a very nice, sweet girl, I care for her and whoever ends up with her will be a very lucky guy."

Around the same time, Underwood and British singer Oliver Trevena were reportedly dating after being spotted hugging and kissing after driving to the Los Angeles airport, where Underwood caught a flight. But for now, it looks like Romo is back in Underwood's game plan to find Mr. Right.
