"She got better opportunities and wonderful things," Inaba told People. "I'm very happy for her."
Harris -- who began co-hosting Dancing with the Stars with Tom Bergeron prior to its Spring 2006 second season when she replaced Lisa Canning -- won't return for the show's tenth season, which premieres March 22.
"Samantha Harris is beautiful," former ninth-season contestant Aaron Carter told People. "I got to answer to her every Monday and Tuesday, so I wasn't complaining. Ever."
