Brittany Taltos' screaming may have been annoying for her fellow contestants while living in the Bachelor Pad mansion, but it recently saved her life.

Taltos, a blonde twin who competed on this past summer's third edition of Bachelor Pad with her sister Erica and also briefly appeared on the fourth season of Jersey Shore, recently survived a freak accident in which a pickup truck backed up onto her front lawn while she was tanning and ran over her head, The Gainesville Sun reported.

"I honestly thought I was going to die," Taltos told The Independent Florida Alligator last week.

The blonde twin was reportedly listening to music through headphones and sleeping on a yoga mat in the grass when a Chevrolet Silverado began driving onto her lawn.

The 20-year-old driver named Taylor Greer -- a friend of Taltos' who stopped by to drop off a grill post-tailgate -- was allegedly unaware of Taltos' presence. He suddenly heard a scream and instinctively put his car into drive to accelerate it forward, according to The Sun.

"I woke up with half a tire in my face," added Taltos.

Taltos, 23, was found conscious and immediately transported to Shands at the University of Florida under a trauma alert, The Sun reported.

Taltos received 15 stitches on the right side of her head and also suffered ear canal damage and bruising. She was released from the hospital shortly after the accident, which reportedly left visible tire marks on Taltos' face, according to roommate Diego Cabrera.

"It was very fortunate she was on softer ground where this occurred or the injuries may have been much worse if not fatal," Gainesville Fire Rescue Lt. Tracey Hidgon told The Sun, adding that Taltos' head left a dent in the ground.

Greer, who admitted he was "very relieved" Taltos was okay, will reportedly not face any charges, but an investigation into the accident's cause is still underway.
