"We decided that after Fourth of July we would release it.  We're having a boy," the Big Brother host and The Early Show co-anchor said during a Wednesday appearance on CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Chen -- who confirmed her pregnancy in April -- said she is currently six-months pregnant and is "very excited."

"We've talked about names, and it's funny because I always thought I would never be one of those people who wanted an original name," explained Chen before adding that is now the route the couple plans to head down.

"We'll probably stay towards a more traditional boys' name."

The 37-year-old host wed the 59-year-old CBS president during a sunset ceremony at a private home in Acapulco in 2004. While Moonves has three grown children with Nancy Moonves, his previous wife of 24 years, the baby will be Chen's first child.

Big Brother's eleventh season will premiere tonight at 8PM ET/PT on CBS, and Chen shed some light on the upcoming edition's "kickin' it old school" format twist.

"We decided Big Brother essentially boils down to being back in high school -- it gets very cliquey, it gets very back-stabby, and can be very petty at times," she said.  "We're going to announce to them, 'Listen, we're going to put you back in high school and put each of you in one of four cliques.  We decide which clique you're in.'"

In addition, Chen provided some additional details about the role the "mystery houseguest" will play in the game.

"We do have another twist, other than these cliques.  After we tell them which clique they're in and they start getting to bond, we are sending in a thirteenth houseguest to join one of the cliques," she explained.  "It's someone that the people at home will recognize and the houseguests will definitely have an opinion on and recognize."
