'The Real Housewives of Orange County' adding a new housewife

By Christopher Rocchio, 07/14/2009

Bravo has announced Alexis Bellino will be joining The Real Housewives of Orange County cast for the reality series' upcoming fifth season, which recently began production.

Bellino has been billed by Bravo as a "32-year-old spicy blonde who unabashedly lives life on her terms."

She is originally from Hannibal, MO but currently resides in Newport Coast, CA with her husband Jim, an entrepreneur.  The couple has three children -- 3-year-old James and 20-month-old twins Melania and Mackenna.

In addition to Bellino joining the cast, Bravo announced Tamra Barney, Lynne Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough and Gretchen Rossi will all be returning for the show's fifth season.

Both Keough and Gunvalson were previously uncertain about returning for The Real Housewives of Orange County's fifth season.

In December, Gunvalson offered a simple "no comment" when asked if she would be interested in being part of a fifth season as her husband Don had come to regret the couple's participation in the reality show.

Last month, Keough said she and her family were still unsigned and negotiating their fifth-season contract.

The Real Housewives of Orange County's fifth season is being produced by Evolution Media, with Douglas Ross, Gregory Stewart and Kathleen French serving as executive producers.
