'American Idol' winner Carrie Underwood to sing at NBA All-Star game

Three-time Grammy winner John Legend and "American Idol" champ Carrie Underwood were named Wednesday as halftime entertainers for the 2006 NBA All-Star Game.

Destiny's Child will sing the national anthem for Sunday's 55th annual All-Star Game at the Toyota Center in Houston. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
The Houston Symphony conducted by Grammy Award winner Richard Kaufman will entertain prior to tip-off and on Saturday, Andrea Bocelli will perform for the NBA Cares concert.
