Whitney and Mark were eliminated one episode shy of the finale, and many viewers were left wanting more.
"People are going to be able to see behind the scenes of my Dancing with the Stars journey, which I think is really cool," Whitney told People when discussing Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which is set to premiere March 12, 20226 on Hulu.
"Not a lot of people have been able to see that," she added, "so I'm excited."
In the meantime, Whitney is going to be making her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and Opening Night is February 2.
Whitney said she secretly sent in audition tapes throughout the Dancing with the Stars season and was invited to audition in-person two days after her elimination.
When Whitney learned she got the gig, she was with Mark at the time.
"[He was] a huge advocate and motivator for me to go after it and really give it my all," Whitney shared. "He was just so ecstatic and so excited me."
Mark had a taste of Broadway himself. The pro dancer and choreographer played Frankie Valli in Broadway's Jersey Boys in 2017.
"He saw the work that I put into it," Whitney noted.
And Mark has apparently been supporting Whitney ever since.

As she rehearses for her Broadway role, Whitney said Mark helps her with "technical things," such as how to preserve her voice and keep her body from shutting down after long days in the theater.
According to Whitney, Mark gave her the following advice: "Live in the moment and just be present, because that will be the most enjoyable. And you'll obviously perform better rather than just anticipating the next thing."
Whitney also told the magazine that she's been relying on Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix for words of wisdom.
Ariana had played Roxie for two runs on Broadway in 2024.

"My go-to for advice has been Ariana," Whitney explained.
"We've been talking a lot -- you know, the dos and don'ts, taking care of yourself while doing this, because I've never done this before."
