The project also involves Jeff Jenkins Productions, 3BMG, and Leavitt Media House, reuniting the #MomTok influencer with some of the team behind The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Whitney hinted at the news on Wednesday, November 4, posting a video with the caption, "See you soon."
The Broadway performer also shared Deadline's headline about the series on her Instagram Stories.
The new show comes after Whitney announced she was leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, where she had appeared since the Hulu series premiered in September 2024.
The show follows the women in the viral MomTok community, and Whitney became one of its most recognizable cast members, in part because of her clashes with other women during the first season.
Whitney shared the news of her departure in May, during her final performance as Roxie Hart in Chicago. She announced it onstage while still in character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
And in an August interview with People, she called the series an important chapter in her life and said, "[It's] time for that chapter to end. Regrets? Plenty. But I wouldn't change a thing."
Whitney has continued taking on television and stage roles since then. She and her Dancing with the Stars pro partner Mark Ballas reached the semifinals on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars in late 2025.
After the competition ended for them, Whitney told the magazine she missed dancing and seeing the cast in the studio, and described leaving as a "breakup" she was still healing from.
In September, she was also announced as a contestant on the next season of The Traitors, which premieres in early 2027 on Peacock. Her husband, Conner Leavitt, had a shorter run on Dancing with the Stars, where he was eliminated on the first night of the Season 35 competition this fall.
On Broadway, Whitney is preparing to return as Sandra Dee in Just in Time, opposite Jeremy Jordan. The six-week engagement at New York City's Circle in the Square Theatre runs through January 10, 2027.

Whitney told People that seeing Jonathan Groff, who originated the role of Bobby Darin, perform in the musical helped spark her interest.
"He's the best of all time," she gushed.
Her previous Broadway run as Roxie Hart also had a notable finish: Chicago recorded its highest weekly box office gross in the production's 29-year history while she was in the cast.
But Whitney credited the cast and crew for the show's success, saying, "It was a group effort to be able to do that because we all pushed really hard to market it. How can we find creative ways to get people to come and see the show? I'm so happy I got to be a part of that."
Meanwhile, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' sixth season is going to look much different on Hulu.
Taylor Frankie Paul and Mikayla Matthews both previously announced they won't be returning, and Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter hinted in September that they may be done with the show also.
There has been tension amongst the fifth-season cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast for months. Taylor apologized for belittling her co-stars' achievements earlier this year.
