Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay has filed for divorce from her husband Mike Shay and admitted the split has been very difficult for them both.

"Thank you all for the love today! It's never easy to split with someone you still love, but we will always remain friends," Scheana, 31, tweeted yesterday.
The couple had announced their breakup in a joint statement obtained by Us Weekly.
"While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship," Scheana and Mike told the magazine.
"Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other's personal happiness and professional success."
According to a source close to the pair, "the relationship was strained" following an incident in which Mike disappeared for several days in early November. When Mike failed to return home after band practice, Scheana reportedly began worrying the musician -- who is sober after an eight-year painkiller addiction -- fell back into his old bad habits of substance abuse.
However, Mike later slammed rumors he's fallen off the wagon again, insisting on Instagram, "I am not missing. I am sober. I am Happy!! I love my wife and will always love my wife. Whatever is going on between us will stay between us!"
Scheana hinted her marriage troubles may play out on TV while teasing the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules several days prior to its November 7 premiere on Bravo.
"You will see a different side to our relationship this season, and that's all I'm going to say," Scheana had told Us at the time.
Scheana and Mike wed in July 2014 at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, CA, and the ceremony aired on Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules.
