The new CBS reality series' debut attracted the third largest post-Super Bowl audience ever when it premiered last night immediately following the network's coverage of Super Bowl XLIV.

In addition, Undercover Boss' premiere attracted the largest audience ever for a new series following the Super Bowl and was the most-watched reality series premiere ever.

The reality series -- which follows corporate executives working in disguise at low-level jobs in their own company to find out what their employees really think of them -- averaged 38.6 million total viewer in its 10:13 to 11:13PM ET timeslot, according to Nielsen time adjusted fast national live plus same day ratings.

It also posted a 19.0/32 rating/share among total viewers and a 16.6 rating among the Adults 25-54 demographic, a 16.2 among Adults 18-49 and a 15.1 among Adults 18-34.

Undercover Boss' premiere broadcast was also the most-watched debut on television since Dolly Parton's The Dolly Show, which drew 39.47 million total viewers in September 1987.

It was the third largest post-Super Bowl audience ever behind NBC's 1996 broadcast of a Friends episode and CBS' 2001 broadcast of the highly-anticipated premiere of Survivor: The Australian Outback.

In addition, Undercover Boss posted the largest audience for an entertainment program during the 2009-2010 television season among households, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Undercover Boss will air regular on Sundays at 9PM ET/PT beginning February 14, where The Amazing Race's sixteenth-season episodes will serve as its lead-in.
