Travel Channel Media announced it has acquired exclusive U.S. cable rights to the long-running CBS reality series' Fall 2007 twelfth season, its upcoming thirteenth installment, and its yet-to-be-ordered fourteenth edition, Multichannel News reported Thursday.

The deal represents The Amazing Race's third cable distribution agreement.  GSN acquired the off-network syndication rights to the show's first eight seasons in June 2005, while Fox Reality Channel currently holds the rights to its ninth through eleventh installments.

The Travel Channel will air The Amazing Race twelfth-season episodes in the Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT timeslot beginning September 3.

"The Amazing Race is an iconic American television series that really taps into what exploration is all about -- not only the incredible riches that the world has to offer travelers -- but the incredible transformative powers that travel brings about in people," said Travel Channel president Patrick Younge in a statement obtained by Multichannel News.

"The Amazing Race is simply the best travel reality format in the world, and it will nicely complement our stable of popular travel offerings such as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, and Samantha Brown's Passport series."

The Amazing Race's thirteenth season will premiere Sunday, September 28 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
