The Miami Ink spinoff's second season will continue to follow Kat Von D as she operates her High Voltage Tattoo shop in her hometown of Hollywood while also balancing several new business opportunities -- including a makeup line with Sephora.

"High Voltage is still my heart and soul, and at the end of the day I feel accomplished knowing that I have been able to get people to understand that at its core, tattooing is an art form," said Von D.

The 13 new episodes will also feature Von D as she travels to New York City and will include appearances by her new boyfriend, former Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.

"This season feels like a culmination of everything I have been working on and I am excited for people who have been along for the ride, to see that. At the same time, I think people will see a new side of me," added Von D.

"This season is so different because I am really going out there, trying new stuff, new adventures, new love, new business, its awesome! But at the same time, I am definitely staying true to me and true to my passion."

LA Ink premiered on TLC in January 2007 and is produced by Original Media, with Gil Lopez serving as executive producer.

"We are thrilled to have Kat and LA Ink back for a second season," said TLC president Eileen O'Neill. "It's an exciting and relatable glimpse into an extraordinary life, and is a great complement to our current slate of programming."
