18 Kids and Counting stars Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar welcomed their nineteenth child -- a baby girl who was born prematurely -- on Thursday evening, People reported Friday.

Josie Brooklyn Duggar was delivered at 6:27PM via emergency C-section at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and weighed 1 lb., 6 ounces.

Michelle was not due until early March, however she was taken to the hospital earlier this week to have a gallstone removed. The pain from the gallstone caused Michelle to have early contractions, a TLC spokesperson told People, leading to the early arrival of her nineteenth child.

Michelle is resting comfortably and Josie Brooklyn is in stable condition and in the NICU for extended care, a TLC representative told People.

"The most important thing right now is for mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible," reads a TLC statement obtained by People.

"The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery."

Michelle and Jim Bob announced they were expecting their nineteenth child in September. Their son Joshua and his wife Anna subsequently welcomed their first child -- and Michelle and Jim Bob's first grandchild -- in October.
