The NBC reality singing competition plans to feature its Top 8 finalists -- Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston, and Frenchie Davis -- in a Live Nation concert tour this summer, The Hollywood Reporter reported Monday.

The Voice coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton were reportedly also approached about participating in the tour with the finalists, but the negotiations fell apart over finances, according to The Reporter.

News of the tour appeared to first surface online when Levine and Shelton promoted it prematurely on Twitter.

"LevineTeam members [Colon] and [Weston] are hitting the road in July for The Voice Live on Tour. Go check them out. You can thank me later," Levine wrote in a since deleted tweet on Monday.

"I feel like a proud papa with my two girls [Frampton] and [Xenia] hitting the road this summer for The Voice Live on Tour. Show 'em Love!," Shelton added.

American Idol launched a fall concert tour following the conclusion of its initial Summer 2002 season and has held summer tours annually since its second season ended in May 2003.
