The Voice sent Daniel Passino packing during Tuesday night's live show, and the artist believes his coach Pharrell Williams had something to do with it.

Daniel, a 22-year-old from Ann Arbor, MI, sang "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith on Monday night's Top 10 performance show and was criticized for being pitchy. Even Pharrell pointed out Daniel had issues with the song.

"When it became my coach's turn to try to defend me, I didn't feel like he really did that," Daniel told Reality TV World in a Wednesday interview.

"My own coach didn't really -- not that he didn't stick up for me, but he didn't... I mean, I think that was evident too on Tuesday with the results show."

On the results show, Daniel landed in the bottom two with Christina Aguilera's team member Nick Hagelin.

After Nick sang "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran for his survival song, Christina gushed about how talented he is and why he thoroughly deserves to stay in the competition. Coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine both verbally agreed.

"There were three coaches vouching for Nick -- who did a phenomenal job, let me add, a phenomenal job -- but you had three coaches vouching for Nick. You had Christina standing on her chair telling everyone to vote for Nick. When it was my turn, it was almost [the opposite]," Daniel said.

Daniel sang "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars for his survival song. When Pharrell had a chance to address home viewers and argue why the young artist should be instantly saved instead of Nick, the coach surprisingly delivered a very passive and subdued speech.

"My brother described it as a 'eulogy,' you know what I mean? But it's alright," Daniel told Reality TV World.

Pharrell told Daniel that he achieved a lot in the competition and accomplished his goal of showing the world what else he has to offer. (Daniel thought he had unfinished business after Christina eliminated him in his Knockout against Alisan Porter. Pharrell later selected Daniel as his "Comeback Artist.")

"It was interesting. Me and Pharrell have a wonderful relationship. He's one of the best human beings I think I've met here in the duration of my time on the show. But just even Monday night, Christina said there were intonation problems, but I didn't think that was [an issue]," Daniel elaborated.

"I mean, you can listen to the performance and judge for yourself, but I think there have been multiple times on the show when singers had intonation issues that have never been said, never brought up. And actually, their performances were praised. And we're so far along in the show, that that never happens. So, it was just interesting that the coaches even said that."

Aside from all of that, Daniel still called Pharrell "very respectful" and admitted it was probably "just my time."

"It wasn't his decision," the singer said of Pharrell. "It was just my time to go this week unfortunately."
