The Voice contestant Luke Wade, who represents coach Pharrell Williams' team, might be kicking himself after his performance during Monday night's seventh-season broadcast on NBC.

With only three artists remaining on each of the four coaches' teams, the competition's Top 12 artists all took the stage in attempt to impress America and win their voting support.

Most singers wowed Pharrell, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, however, Luke Wade managed to earn the coaches' respect in a different way.

Luke Wade, who sang "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran, might've been thinking too much during his performance. The artist was shown struggling with the song choice during his rehearsals with Pharrell prior to taking the stage. He appeared to have trouble remembering the words or correct guitar chords, and Pharrell told him to relax and just feel the passion of the music.

Pharrell suggested Luke Wade performed much better when he wasn't inside his head so much.

However, right as Luke Wade began singing onstage Monday night, he stumbled and awkwardly paused a couple of times. He had a look of frustration on his face and seemed to want to give up after apparently forgetting the lyrics of the tune or messing up in some way.

After the mistake, Luke Wade gathered his confidence and pride and continued belting out the song. The rest of "Thinking Out Loud" was excellent, and the coaches praised him for recovering so well. They advised him not to get down about the performance because it happens to most professionals.

Luke Wade told The Voice host Carson Daly he had started the song two beats early, which threw him off in the beginning.

Also for "Team Pharrell," Sugar Joans performed "Take Me to the River" and DaNica Shirey sang "Creep." DaNica's vocals were on-point.

Adam's team was comprised of Damien, who sang "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother;" Matt McAndrew, who performed "Take Me to Church;" and Chris Jamison, who sang "Jealous." All three singers blew the coaches away and got the live audience roaring.

On "Team Gwen," Ryan Sill sang "Ordinary World," Taylor John Williams performed "It," and Anita Antoinette sang "Redemption Song." Ryan stood out for his growth in the competition and for being extremely talented.

As for Blake's team, Jessie Pitts sang "Don't You Worry Child," Reagan James took the stage with "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over," and Craig Wayne Boyd sang "You Look So Good In Love." Blake told Craig he had two breakout moments back to back, which marks a true star.
