The Voice began its eighth-season "Live Playoffs" during which Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton's entire five-person teams performed for America's vote during Monday night's broadcast on NBC.

On Night 1 of the "Live Playoffs," Pharrell and Blake watched their teams take the stage one at a time to sing a stripped-down solo in the hopes of impressing home viewers. Only three artists from each team will end up advancing to the Top 12 live shows.

Blake's five teammates were Sarah Potenza, Hannah Kirby, Corey Kent White, Brooke Adee, and Meghan Linsey.

Sarah sang "Free Bird" and Hannah performed "I Feel the Earth Move" for which she received a standing ovation from her coach, Pharrell and Christina Aguilera.

Corey Kent sang "To Make You Feel My Love" and was praised for his sincerity and vulnerability. Brooke performed "Love Me Like You Do" to show off her range. Meghan was pretty much declared a shoo-in for the Top 12 after singing "Love Runs Out."

The five members of Pharrell's team were Caitlin Caporale, Lowell Oakley, Mia Z, Koryn Hawthorne, and Sawyer Fredericks.

Caitlin belted out "Best Thing I Never Had" and Adam Levine said it was "f-cking amazing." Lowell sang "Jealous," and Mia Z performed "Ain't No Sunshine." Blake told Mia Z she's the one artist in the competition he wishes was on his team.

Koryn took the stage with "How Great Thou Art" and was told she lit up the nation with her strong message. Sawyer, at only 15-years-old, performed a soulful rendition of "Trouble." Blake admitted all the other coaches are screwed because of the fact he's such a star. Pharrell also called Sawyer a "super rare, natural" talent.

On Tuesday night's episode of The Voice, Adam and Christina's teams will perform for America to finish out the "Live Playoffs."

Then, on Wednesday night, the Top 12 will be revealed. In previous seasons, two artists from each team advanced based on the voting and then each coach got to select the third -- and final -- contestant to move forward in the competition and represent his or her team.
