'The Simple Life' taping canceled following community protests

Irate parents prompted producers to cancel taping of "The Simple Life" at a New Jersey school, it was reported Tuesday.

The popular Fox TV reality show had planned to film Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie working as substitute teachers and monitors at the J.P. Cleary Middle School in Buena Vista Township. But parents protested, saying the reputation of the pair "leaves a lot to be desired,""Entertainment Tonight" reported.
Given the protest, producers of "The Simple Life" and school officials agreed to cancel the taping.
