"I'm posting this on the last day of 365 to remove this facade of faking like this marriage is going to work," she wrote, according to People.
"Everybody can't come into the next chapter. I'm done hurting and I want to be happy in my next chapter. Cheers to 2026 of putting my happiness first (And for the record as much as I can't stand him, we are not going to create a false narrative that I'm walking away because of any fake made up rumors)."
Brit posted a professionally-staged photo of the former couple and set her post to Usher's 2010 song "Papers."
The former Bravo star continued to write, "Ima come out of every storm like it was never raining."
Brit shared that "disrespect" is what "triggers" her "toxicity," and she noted how she's been "learning not to let people pull me out of character."
"I can be chill, fun, easy to get along with... I can vibe with anybody. But the second I feel disrespected, everything in me shifts. My peace goes out the window, my patience disappears, and that soft version of me turns sharp real quick," she explained.
"I'm self-aware enough to know I'm a good woman. I'm kind, I'm genuine, I'm understanding, and I always try to lead with love."
Brit explained how disrespect hits her "so deep" because she gives others grace before flipping out.
"When I snap, it's never random, it's a reaction. What you put in is what you get out of me," Brit said.
"Still, I'm learning. Learning not to let people pull me out of character. Learning that not everyone deserves a response. Learning that peace is better than proving a point," she continued.
"Because growth isn't about never being triggered... it's about recognizing what triggers you and protecting yourself before you get there. Know your triggers. Guard your peace. Stay away from the people, places, and situations that force you to become someone you've worked too hard to outgrow."

For his part, Mike told People that all marriages have "ups and downs."
Mike shared of the split, "We just happen to go through things publicly. I've always had the utmost respect for my wife and our union. In spite of some of our issues being brought to the public, I will not feed into the drama and narratives being painted."
Brit and Mike got married at a courthouse during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, which wasn't exactly Brit's dream, according to the magazine.
Brit and Mike reportedly met when Brit was launching her insurance company.
"Mike was my client so I didn't want to date my client so we became friends. And probably about two or three months of him FaceTiming all the time, I was like, 'Wait a minute, I'm going to watch out for you,'" she recalled during an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
"We dated and we went on our first trip to Vegas and I said, 'Mike, I'll come to Vegas with you but you not getting none.' When I tell you we had the best time. I was like, 'Okay, he might be the one.'"
Brit is apparently going through a difficult time in her life right now.
Not only has she separated from her husband, but she also reportedly filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBC and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America in June.

According to court documents obtained by People, Brit is suing for $20 million in damages and requesting the episode be taken down.
While The Real Housewives of Atlanta was filming Season 16 in early June 2024, Kenya showcased posters of Brit performing oral sex at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, GA.
The posters leaked online, and Brit -- who did not attend the spa event -- admitted via Instagram Stories of Kenya's stunt at the time, "It's never a good feeling being targeted or HAZED by someone I thought would embrace me into a new circle, that I never met."
Brit also cited Georgia law prohibiting the distribution of sexually explicit images without consent of the person depicted.
Kenya addressed the incident at the time, writing on X, "I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail."
The reality TV star added, "I have always been vindicated. I can't talk about STORY even with people planting fake news #sweet16."
Kenya added via Instagram Stories, "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes to light," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kenya subsequently took to Instagram Live on June 14 and told her followers, "You will be seeing me. I'm not going anywhere despite all this stuff."
But in late June 2024, People reported that Kenya would not be returning for the show's sixteenth season, which premiered in March 2025.
Kenya was ultimately edited out of most of the episodes due to the porn scandal. She apologized for the incident in an April 2025 YouTube video.
