The latest episode's mystery gentleman, Stephen, a 27-year-old from New Orleans, LA, got engaged to contestant Sophia Schoenau, a 22-year-old student from New Orleans, LA.

The latest episode of ABC's new reality dating series from The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss featured 10 women -- selected by a panel of matchmakers -- attempting to win the heart of a man whose identity was initially concealed from them by participating in four pageant-style rounds of competition.

Stephen was looking to settle down and start a family with the woman of his dreams.

The women were then brought out onstage one by one.

Shelby Whitfield, a 22-year-old pediatric nurse from Fayetteville, AR, was welcomed onstage first, and then she was followed by Taylor Russi, a 33-year-old automotive business owner from Dothan, AL; Kristen Duchene, a 26-year-old realtor from Litchfiel, CT; Amanda Rasch, a 25-year-old marketing specialist from Grand Rapids, MI; and Ali Beck, a 31-year-old blogger from New York, NY.

Next up was Britt Evans, a 30-year-old brand manager from Nashville, TN; Amanda Cowan, a 24-year-old government project analyst from Charleston, SC; Sarah Griffith, a 32-year-old bartender from San Diego, CA; Sophia; and finally Christen, a 27-year-old wedding photographer from Nashville, TN.

Christen previously competed on The Bachelor's 21st season for Nick Viall's heart. She also appeared on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise.

After brief introductions, Stephen decided he'd like to see more of the following women: Amanda C, Christen, Sophia, Taylor, Amanda R, Sarah, and Ali.

It then became time for the best of beachwear or swimwear round. While some girls felt comfortable enough to rock bikinis, several women wore one-piece suits or a bathing suit with a wrap around their waist.

A highlight of this round was Sophia singing Stephen a sweet, short song on her guitar about how she was ready to find a true love.

Once this round concluded, Mike advanced the women he'd like to get to know better: Christen, Sophia, Sarah, and Amanda R.

In the next stage of competition, Mike was allowed to ask each woman a serious question about topics that matter to him, such as religion, politics, sex, or past relationships -- and each woman was given 30 seconds to answer.

Amanda R. told Stephen on a scale from 1-10 measuring how ready she is to settle down and have kids, she's a 10.

Sophia then explained to Stephen a typical night out for her in New Orleans is spending time in her school library studying or attending live concerts, eating out at restaurants, and hitting up the cool bars.

Sarah insisted to Stephen she's a goofball just like him, and then Christen gushed about how much her family means to her, especially her sisters and mother, who is her best friend.

Following the interview round, Mike wanted to keep seeing Christen, Sophia and Sarah.

The three girls then got to meet Stephen's kind father, Drew, who was afforded the opportunity to ask each woman a question since she could become his future daughter-in-law.

Christen talked to Drew about her work for a nonprofit organization, Sophia discussed how communication between partners is important and she doesn't like to be consumed with her phone and social media every day, and Sarah said she loves a good baseball game -- hotdogs and cold beer included.

Towards the end of the show, Stephen said he could sincerely see himself proposing to Sophia or Christen.

As a result, the two women got to meet Stephen face-to-face. The girls had big smiles on their faces when he walked out, so they seemed very pleased with his appearance.

Sophia and Christen were then instructed to explain to Stephen how far they'd be willing to go for love and for him.

During Christen's speech, she said she's never been more ready for love and a partner. She told Stephen he's "beautiful" and "quite a unicorn." She was following her heart and insisted they'd be "an amazing match."

And Sophia opened her heart, saying although she's young, she took a chance for love and already felt something for Stephen. She lit up in his presence and noted she'd love "to take the next step" with him.

Stephen was really impressed by both women, but he went with his gut and his heart and ultimately chose to pop the question to Sophia.

"It's crazy that it took a damn show to come out to California but you're right in my backyard. So Sophia, I want to take this opportunity. Come on this journey with me," Stephen said on one knee as he presented his final pick with a Neil Lane engagement ring.
