Mel's exes wished him all the best on his journey to find love, and Mel admitted it was heartbreaking to eliminate them along the way.

The Golden Bachelor's next episode is set to air on Wednesday, November 5 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

Mel will be shown enjoying overnight Fantasy Suite dates with his Final 2 bachelorettes: Cindy Angelcyk Cullers, a 60-year-old retired biomedical engineer from Austin, TX, and Peg Munson, a 62-year-old retired firefighter and bomb tech from Las Vegas, NV.

Both Cindy and Peg have said they're totally smitten with Mel, but Mel has been keeping his cards close to his chest.

In a preview of the Fantasy Suites episode that aired during ABC's Dancing with the Stars on November 4, Mel acknowledges that he has "two incredible women" left.

"I am falling in love with Mel... It's scary not knowing how he feels about me," Cindy tells the cameras.

And Peg shares in a confessional, "I would love to be engaged by the end of the week, but I'm scared to have my heart broken again... Tonight could be the night that changes everything."

Mel, seemingly speaking with The Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer, concludes, "They're both great women. I have to make a decision!"

When asked to describe his Fantasy Suite dates in three words, Mel used "contemplative, conversation, and information" during a recent interview with Us Weekly.

"I went in there really wanting to know more," he said, "because the cameras are off, no mic, and now I can ask questions you might not want to say while you're miked and on camera."

Following Fantasy Suites, Mel will have to choose between Cindy and Peg at the Final Rose Ceremony in Antigua.

The Golden Bachelor's Season 2 finale will air on Wednesday, November 12, but fans don't have to wait until then to find out what happens.

According to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone, Mel picked Peg as his winner at the end of his season.

Not only did Peg receive Mel's special golden rose -- his final rose -- but she also walked away with an engagement ring!

Carbone reported in a late October Instagram post, "Mel is engaged to Peg."

Carbone captioned his post, "(SPOILER) Took me long enough, but finally here's your Golden Bachelor finale spoiler. #spoiler #goldenbachelor #melowens #abctv #bachelornation."

Bachelor Nation seemed to have mixed reactions to the big spoiler.

While many fans voiced support of Peg because she's bubbly and full of energy, others expressed sadness, knowing Cindy probably got crushed at the end of her journey on the show.

"Omg I thought he was gonna go for cindy! Cindy was probably heartbroken at the end! This season is such a dud! Mel is like a brick wall! He does nothing, says nothing, shows nothing! ZERO emotion!" one Instagram user wrote.

Many social media users also predicted that Mel and Peg's relationship is not going to last.

"Oh, I don't think they're going to get married. This engagement will probably last two months," one critic commented.

Another chimed in, "Never gonna last. She's way too spunky and cool for him!"

A third fan of the show wrote, "She loves her career -- her firehouse and her hometown He loves his Calif life and sons They won't connect."

During a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour" podcast, Peg called her overall experience on The Golden Bachelor "amazing."

And Mel recently gushed about how viewers will be pleasantly surprised by The Golden Bachelor finale.

"It's so brilliant... It's so good, you won't believe it," Mel told Us in an interview.

"You won't believe how we get there, not mechanically, but how we get there emotionally," he clarified. "There's some movement and twists and turns."

The magazine -- who interviewed Mel in person -- reported that the 66-year-old attorney and former NFL player's face lit up when talking about the end of The Golden Bachelor.

But Mel admitted that trying to figure out who was "going to be the best fit" for him was "tough" during his final days of filming.

"But there's that magnetism that pulls you in that direction no matter what, and it's a little bit more toward one person than the other, so I went with my gut," Mel concluded.
