Nicolle Kate has responded to Debbie Siebers' jabs at The Golden Bachelor: The Women Tell All, and Debbie has spoken out about why she decided to put the bachelorette in her place.

Nicolle admitted to BachelorNation.com after the tense episode aired, "I didn't like it and I told her that."

On The Women Tell All special that aired Wednesday night on ABC, Debbie didn't hesitate to scold Nicolle for having "dismissed" their fellow bachelorettes and calling the Season 1 The Golden Bachelorette ladies unattractive.

Debbie snapped, "When I saw that you really were on there to date America and to be an influencer? I was so disappointed in you, Nicolle. And I thought you were so much smarter than that. If you want to be an influencer, you're not going to be if nobody likes you! It needed to be said. You hurt me."

Nicolle elaborated of Debbie's comments, "I mean, Debbie and I are close, so I just thought she went for me and it was not necessary. There are so many positive things about our friendship."

Nicolle mentioned it would've been nice for Debbie to have at least said one "positive thing" about her.

"Like, when you criticize someone, that's fine, but it's usually like a sandwich. You say something nice, then you go for it, and then you end it with something nice," Nicolle explained.

"Also, in all fairness to her, there were four in a row that I was like, 'It's fine, it's fine.' But the fifth, it was enough."

Prior to Debbie slamming Nicolle, other bachelorettes had accused Nicolle of going on The Golden Bachelor with a strategy and for the wrong reasons.

Nicolle also faced backlash for making out with Mel in front of everyone at the pool party and taking credit for the lemon-bar dessert she had fed Mel.

While Nicolle insisted she had "spearheaded" the baking, Roxanne said it was a "collective effort" amongst the women.

"It needed to stop, so it just was too much," Nicolle recalled of the scrutiny.

"It was over the edge... It was a little tough and I didn't think it was as necessary as it needed to be. Some of it I expected, of course. I think everything up to Debbie I could handle."

Nicolle therefore said Debbie's comments were the "sort of the thing that broke the camel's back" for her.

But Carol ultimately called for the end of Nicolle's roast since the women had good times with her, and Nicolle apologized to the entire cast for her actions this season.

Debbie also spoke to BachelorNation.com about why she chose to attack Nicolle in the first place.

"I wasn't planning on it. I knew if there was a moment where I felt I needed to express myself, I was going to. I hope I didn't come across too harsh," Debbie said.

"I wasn't really going to say anything until she started talking, once again, about women empowerment and women supporting women and all of that. It just really hit me the wrong way because she was dismissing so many of us women when I was watching the episodes."

Debbie pointed out how Nicolle had dismissed her connection with Mel, for example.

"The fact that she was very verbal about being in it for her own personal reasons to be an influencer and her comments about the women in the first season, I don't think that's women empowerment," Debbie explained.

"So I just felt, I know Terri had already said it, but I just thought it would hit harder coming from me because we did share a bedroom and a bathroom and it was frustrating because I really did get so close to Nicolle."

Debbie, however, confirmed that she loves and adores Nicolle as a person.

"And I was watching it thinking, 'What are you doing? You're such a sweet woman.' And like I said, she did my makeup for my date and she took such special care and I adored her," Debbie revealed.

"I literally have been defending her every day to my family, to my friends, to people I don't even know who really were just letting her have it. I said, 'No, she is lovely and funny and smart.'"

And so when Debbie watched the show back, she was totally caught off-guard.

"When I saw that stuff, I thought, gosh, she is really not thinking this through, and I don't understand it. So it hurt," Debbie shared.

"It hurt my feelings and I was upset also for her because I know what she wants and if that's what she wants, she's not going about it the right way. So I think she heard me."

Debbie concluded, "I know she was upset and she got teary-eyed with me. She was upset with me that I came in so hard. But you know, I felt like I needed to say it and I said it."

Debbie finished Mel's The Golden Bachelor season in third place behind Cindy Angelcyk Cullers and Peg Munson.
