The Celebrity Apprentice star Donald Trump fired Sig Hansen during Monday night's two-part episode of the NBC reality competition's seventh season.

Trump fired the Deadliest Catch star after he served as Team Vortex's project manager for the season's eighth task, which required them to host a Circle Line guided boat tour around NYC, create an original theme and provide entertainment for everyone on the boat. The winner would be determined solely on guest feedback.

"This is the first time I've ever been fired in my life, and I gotta tell ya, it was pretty humbling. But I took a gamble and it just didn't work out the way I planned it," Sig said following his ouster.

Sig, a crab boat captain, immediately stepped up as project manager, and Trump noted that if he hadn't, he would certainly be fired. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville opted to be project manager for Infinity.

Although Trump didn't declare how much money the winning project manager would receive for his or her charity, Circle Line added $30,000 to the initial amount.

Sig worked with Geraldo Rivera, Kate Gosselin and Vivica A. Fox. Brandi's team was comprised of talk show host Leeza Gibbons, Ian Ziering, Kenya Moore, and Johnny Damon.

Brandi was convinced Kenya wanted nothing more than to see her fail although Kenya appeared enthusiastic and cooperative.

Once in the boardroom Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump revealed what the general public had to say about each boating experience. They loved Brandi's fun and exclusive atmosphere as well as Leeza's knowledge about NYC. However, their theme wasn't very clear cut and some people found Kenya's dancing and singing performance a little bit too risque.

As for Sig's team, Vivica was great, the music was enjoyable and they served excellent food. However, Geraldo was a polarizing character with his strong political views and there were Hooters girls on the boat, which catered mostly to men.

As a result, the guests felt "strongly" about whom the winner should be, and Brandi's team ended up winning. Her earnings went to the Make a Wish foundation. Although Sig was the losing project manager, Trump gave the Coast Guard $25,000, pleasing Sig very much.

Kate explained that their loss ultimately fell on the project manager's shoulders because he was in charge of the task's creative direction and Hooters idea. Vivica reluctantly agreed that Sig should be fired, and so that's the decision Trump made.

Vortex lost three tasks in a row, so everyone assumed Trump would be changing up the teams next time.
