The show's sixteenth season will premiere with a one-hour episode on Thursday, September 11 at 8PM ET/PT. The contestants, which include former NFL players and Olympic gold medalists, will work with veteran trainer Dolvett Quince as well as newbie trainers Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom on the ranch. Alison Sweeney will return as host.

In a new twist, The Biggest Loser veteran trainer Bob Harper will be playing a completely different part.

Each week, when a contestant gets eliminated and believes he or she is going home, that person will instead be whisked away to a secret location called "Comeback Canyon," where Bob will serve as the sole trainer. The contestants will be given a second chance to re-enter the original Biggest Loser competition and vie for the $250,000 grand prize by competing at a separate secret weekly weigh-in.

In addition to former NFL players and Olympic gold medalists, the cast will also include a former professional tennis player, WNBA standouts, and a mix of former college and high school sports stars.
