The Bachelorette's 31 bachelors who will be competing for Clare Crawley's heart on Season 16 of the show have officially been announced by ABC.

ABC has announced the official cast of 31 men who will be fighting for Clare's roses on The Bachelorette when its "unprecedented" sixteenth season premieres Tuesday, October 13 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC. (Airdate and timing are subject to change due to the NBA Finals schedule).

Clare will be introduced to a "charming" doctor and "sincere romantic" working on the front lines against the pandemic, a Southern single dad looking for a wife to complete his family, and a financial advisor "with the looks and charm of a modern Great Gatsby," according to ABC.

The network also teased Night 1 will bring a "handsome" former athlete with personal hurdles that have left emotional scars and a former pro football player "who lights up the room with his high-wattage smile" for Clare.

In the season premiere, Clare will determine whether her dreams and priorities clash with Yosef, and ABC says Dale Moss makes a great first impression.

At the end of the night, 23 lucky bachelors remain to toast The Bachelorette star.

"And on this special premiere night, Bachelor Nation will be rewarded with the first glimpse at the shocking moment that will change the course of this passionate, crazy journey, unlike any other in franchise history," ABC revealed.

As Bachelor Nation is well aware at this point, The Bachelor alum Tayshia Adams replaced Clare about two weeks into filming Season 16 because Clare quit the show for an early frontrunner

Back in mid-March when The Bachelorette was scheduled to begin filming Clare's season before production was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, ABC surprised fans by announcing 32 potential suitors.

A whopping 23 of the 32 men, however, were in their twenties, which sparked complaints from Bachelor Nation -- and even some of Clare's friends, such as The Bachelor alum Michelle Money -- given Clare is a 39-year-old hairstylist who's very experienced in the dating game and says she knows what she wants in life and a partner.

Once production of Clare's season was pushed back until July, the casting process resumed and continued for several months, and then ABC released a revised list of 42 bachelors who "may" have a chance to meet and date Clare in July.

ABC had revealed names, bios and photos for 42 guys on Facebook, and 25 bachelors were fresh selections who joined 17 previously-announced men from Clare's original March cast.

Twenty of the 25 fresh selections are age 30 or older, and as a whole, the cast of 42 men included 26 bachelors age 30 or older.

Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone reported at the time The Bachelorette producers had decided to invite a bunch of extra potential bachelors to La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, CA, where they filmed Season 16, in case anyone tested positive for COVID-19 during the quarantine period that occurred before production commenced.

From the cast of 42 bachelors in July, it appears ABC dropped Alex Brusiloff, a 28-year-old from El Paso, TX; Collins Youngblood, a 30-year-old from Midlothian, VA; Ellis Matthews, a 26-year-old from Libertyville, IL; Gary Briggs, a 29-year-old from Cleveland, OH; and Josh Elledge, a 31-year-old from Minneapolis, MN.

The rest of the 42 guys who didn't make the final cut were Karl Smith, a 33-year-old from Miami, FL; Montel Hill, a 30-year-old from Hingham, MA; Noah Erb, a 25-year-old from Tulsa, OK; Peter Giannikopoulos, a 32-year-old from Everett, MA; Spencer Robertson, a 30-year-old from La Jolla, CA; Tien Yang, a 36-year-old from Great Neck, NY; and Uzoma Nwachukwu, a 29-year-old from Dallas, TX.
