Charity Lawson has updated fans on her wedding plans with fiance Dotun Olubeko now that The Bachelorette is in their rearview mirror.

"We have not started planning and executing plans, but we're starting to talk about dates," the Dancing with the Stars contestant, 27, told Us Weekly recently.

"We're looking at 2025, maybe 2026. So, give us another year."

The Bachelorette star said she and Dotun, 31, are "just trying to enjoy" their engagement for the time being "but also not wait too long."

Charity insisted her relationship with her The Bachelorette winner is still going strong, even though she must commit a lot of time to practicing and performing for Dancing with the Stars viewers.

"We went on a date last Thursday and we went to a comedy club," Charity recalled. "He loves comedy. And when I say I had the best time, I was laughing my ass off. Sorry, but it was so good!"

The Bachelor alum said she and Dotun are also watching The Golden Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise together. The shows just premiered last Thursday night, with Bachelor in Paradise rolling out its ninth season on ABC.

Charity teased that "of course" she knows which of her girlfriends found love on Bachelor in Paradise, which filmed earlier this summer, but she "can't say" yet.

Charity topped the leaderboard with her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev on Dancing with the Stars' Season 32 premiere last week.

On Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars episode, Artem couldn't participate because he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Pro dancer Ezra Sosa therefore stepped in to partner with The Bachelorette star, and their scores from Dancing with the Stars judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli landed them tied for third place with another couple on the night's leaderboard.

Dotun has been shown sitting in the Dancing with the Stars audience, cheering Charity on.

"Our love has never been deeper, and I continue to fall more and more in love every day," Dotun told BachelorNation.com of Charity in early September. "And so, going into Dancing with the Stars, we both feel extremely secure in our relationship, and I'm just so supportive."

Charity told Us at the time that nothing will ever come between the couple and that Dotun is her "priority" and also her "biggest fan."

And The Bachelorette winner shared with the magazine how Charity has been great about giving him reassurance and confidence.

"We'll be together, so I'll be home and I'll have dinner ready for [Charity] after those long practices," Dotun said. "And yeah, if anything ever happens, this relationship is a priority, and I think we have the communication skills to talk about it and take a step back any time it's needed."

By participating in Dancing with the Stars, Charity is following in the footsteps of many The Bachelor and The Bachelorette alums before her who have competed on the reality dancing competition -- including Gabby Windey, who placed second on Dancing with the Stars' 31st season last year.

Kaitlyn Bristowe also memorably won Dancing with the Stars' 29th season, right after Hannah Brown was crowned champion of the reality dancing competition's 28th season.

On The Bachelorette's twentieth season, which wrapped in late August on ABC, Charity rejected Joey Graziadei in second place and selected Dotun as her winner.

Dotun, who lived in California prior to the show, proposed marriage to Charity, a Georgia native, during The Bachelorette finale, and now they're both living in the Los Angeles area while Charity competes on Dancing with the Stars.

Charity recently revealed that she and Dotun plan to continue living in California or move to New York City for a start fresh once her stint on Dancing with the Stars ends.

Charity also told BachelorNation.com earlier this summer that she and her fiance "don't want a super long engagement" and that they'd like to have two weddings in two different countries!

"We are hopeful for a big Nigerian wedding," Charity revealed, which would honor Dotun's native country and his family's proud heritage.

"My mother-in-law says she wants to whisk us away! So we're hanging onto that."

The Bachelorette star elaborated, "And then [we'd have] probably a more intimate, smaller one. Either way, we're both excited for those next steps. But we're just enjoying this moment."

Once The Golden Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise wrap, Joey will star on The Bachelor's 28th season next year. Fans anticipate Joey's season will debut in January 2024 on ABC.
