The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has lined up another TV gig for later this summer in addition to Bachelor in Paradise and its live after-show.

Harrison will host the 2017 Miss America Competition when it airs live on Sunday, September 11 at 9PM ET/PT from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on ABC.

This marks Harrison's eighth year hosting the Miss America competition, which is heading into its 96th pageant oveall.

Joining Harrison -- who also hosts Who Wants To Be A Millionaire -- will be ESPN personality Sage Steele as co-host. Steele is host and commentator for ABC's and ESPN's NBA Countdown.

The announcement was made on Monday by the Miss America Organization, dick clark productions and ABC.

"For 96 years, Miss America has shone light on some of the brightest and most talented young women in the country," Harrison said in a statement. "This year will surely be a fun-filled night showcasing talent, glamour, fitness, presentation and community achievement as the country's brightest compete for the crown!"

Fifty-two women will be competing for the Miss America crown as well as scholarships for their education.

"There's always such a high level of drama and competitiveness during the Miss America Competition that rivals many sporting events that I've covered," stated Steele. "I can't wait to host alongside Chris Harrison to see what this year brings."
 
The Bachelorette's
twelfth season is currently airing. The third edition of Bachelor in Paradise premieres August 2 with live aftershows that will also be hosted by Harrison.
