"Some drama is good. Not too much, but a little bit," Grant, 31, recently joked with Good Morning America.
"There's a little bit of drama. That's what happens when there's emotions involved."
In a preview that aired at the end of The Bachelor premiere, Grant accuses one woman of being "deceitful," and Sarafiena Watkins makes a catty remark about another bachelorette's dress being too short.
Carolina Sofia and Zoe McGrady also appear to emerge as villains.
The women seem to get angry at Zoe for stealing too much of Grant's time.
And after calling out Grant for something she had heard and later arguing with Dina Lupancu, Carolina quips to the cameras, "I guess I'm crazy and evil!"
Grant explained how he had dealt with such drama in a separate interview with People.
"In a situation like that, where any move you make is really pivotal, I think that me waiting until I had all the evidence and then making a decision was the best move on the chessboard," Grant shared.
He added, "Get the facts and don't jump the gun."
But Grant admitted he wasn't interested in proposing marriage to a woman who found herself embroiled in conflict with others.

"It's really easy for somebody to tell you what they want, but I think that actions speak louder than words," Grant said, suggesting that a drama starter may have appeared on his The Bachelor season for the wrong reasons.
"I think that there's a certain maturity level that comes with wanting a family and wanting a long-lasting relationship, so I think that maturity was something that I looked for in these women."
Grant elaborated, "And if they're starting drama, or if they're gossiping, or if they're doing certain things, that just indicates a lack of maturity."

Gossiping wasn't the only red flag for Grant when he was getting to know his 18 remaining bachelorettes after Night 1.
"For me, a red flag is somebody who's too self-absorbed," Grant told the magazine.
"I like when somebody's compassionate and somebody has a heart for other people because that's the way I am, so I feel like it has to mesh with how I feel. And then hygiene is a big thing for me, too!"
Grant also told Access Hollywood that another red flag is when a woman is always late.

Grant shared how his "green flags" are tattoos, animal lovers, and first-date kisses.
Grant also said he's okay with his partner wanting to go out on the weekends -- as long as her desire to party is "in moderation" -- and he'd be supportive if his future wife has millions of followers as an influencer on social media.
When looking back on his journey to find love, Grant confessed that eliminating women at each Rose Ceremony was very "difficult" for him.
"As time progresses, you get to know these women better, and they're so great, they put their hearts out there," Grant said.
"So that was the hard part, just letting somebody down that their heart was in it. That was really tough for me, but it's something that was a step forward in me finding my person, so that's something that I'm happy about."
And Grant told multiple media outlets that he's "happy" with how his The Bachelor season turned out and he also has no regrets.
The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer previously teased in an interview with Parade that Grant's The Bachelor season is going to be "very, very emotional" for viewers.

"There are going to be some surprises along the road for sure," Jesse teased.
"This isn't one of those seasons where there's going to be a few surprises early and then it's sort of smooth sailing all the way."
The host added, "I think people will be on the edge of their seats each and every single week."
