The Bachelor star Grant Ellis has revealed more details about his sudden breakup with Juliana Pasquarosa that most fans didn't see coming.

"So there were a lot of things that were going on. I think Juliana is somebody who is really rooted in her family. I was willing to move to Boston. We didn't spend a lot of quality time," Grant explained to Ben Higgins during the Monday, November 3 episode of "The Ben & Ashley I: Almost Famous" podcast.

"It was a situation where, I think, coming off of the show, there was a lot of outside noise that happened. All of the criticism we were getting, all of the feedback we were getting left and right, I think it kind of bled into our relationship."

Grant said when negativity got out of hand, he and Juliana "didn't really rely on each other to get through it."

Grant explained that Juliana leaned on her family and he worked through things himself.

"I think that bled into our relationship. I don't think there was a lack of anybody being ready [for commitment]," Grant said.

"I think Juliana is very ready for a relationship. I think everybody that went on the show went into it with the right intentions."

Grant elaborated on how "there were so many outside factors" that led to the demise of his post-show romance with Juliana.

"And we just couldn't get through it," Grant admitted.

Grant seemed to have a feeling his relationship with Juliana was doomed before they traveled to Aruba, where they vacationed with Juliana's family.

"We talked. We sat down and we were like, 'Listen, things are not working. They're not working,'" Grant recalled.

"I was at her apartment and we sat down, and you could tell we weren't on the same page."

Once Grant and Juliana traveled to Aruba, Grant said he was "hoping to get a little more alone time" with his then-fiancee.

"But we weren't able to," Grant said.

"And even there, I was trying to make things work, but I praised her because, you know, with her intuition, she saw that things weren't going the way that she wanted and she wanted to move forward."

Grant therefore said they decided as a couple to end their relationship but it was "ultimately her final decision."

Grant added, "Because I was still willing to try to make things work."

Although Juliana shared in September that she's dipping her toes in the dating pool again, Grant told Ben that he's not currently dating and has no plans to.

Grant told Ben that he's not really dating at this time and is in no rush to.

Juliana and Grant announced their breakup via separate Instagram Story postings on June 13, less than three months after their engagement had aired on The Bachelor's Season 29 finale on ABC.

Grant hinted at the time that calling off the engagement wasn't his idea.

"I didn't break up with anybody," Grant said during an Instagram Live session in late June. "It was mutual. It was a mutual thing. It wasn't working."

When asked for her take on whether the breakup was mutual, Juliana hesitated and shared with Jason Tartick on his "Trading Secrets" podcast, "It was. I think after the initial conversation, we had a lot of conversations that it made sense for the both of us."

But the breakup didn't make much sense to Bachelor Nation.

Although there were rumors Juliana and Grant's relationship was on the rocks, the pair had laughed them off earlier this year.

Grant and Juliana had even been insisting for months prior to their split that they were going strong and planned to move in together in Boston this past summer.

Juliana and Grant got engaged in the Dominican Republic at the Final Rose Ceremony of The Bachelor's 29th season.

The Bachelor finale that aired in March had shown Grant appearing to still be undecided between Juliana and his other Final 2 bachelorette, Litia Garr, only minutes before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Grant had said he was in love with both women, and also repeatedly told Litia that he was in love with her.

But Grant chose to dump Litia in second place, leaving her feeling blindsided and devastated.

Shortly after The Bachelor's Season 29 finale aired, Grant faced backlash for allegedly leading Litia on.

Litia claimed on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose in March that Grant had confirmed they were getting engaged the night before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Litia proceeded to throw shade at Grant on social media once the show wrapped.
