The Bachelor role has apparently been offered to Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott over and over again.

Jonathan and his brother, Drew Scott, have revealed The Bachelor producers asked him to star on the ABC reality dating franchise repeatedly.

"Jonathan has been pitched like, I think four times now, been approached to be the Bachelor. He don't need that," Drew, 40, told Us Weekly on Sunday.

"Anyway, I think right now he's just focusing on what we're doing, the shows, we're launching our first kids' book next month, which is exciting. Eventually he'll have time and then I'll pawn him off for a dating show or something."

Jonathan, 40, admitted starring on The Bachelor sounds daunting and would give him "so much anxiety."

"I said my third no to being the Bachelor about a month ago," Jonathan explained. "I cannot. That is absolutely not me. I would love something like Amazing Race. [It] would be fun... but not The Bachelor."

ABC just announced earlier this month Colton Underwood will star on The Bachelor's upcoming 23rd season, which is expected to premiere in January 2019.

Jonathan's revelation he was asked to be the Bachelor as recently as last month suggests producers were considering him as one of their options, among other reported frontrunners -- former The Bachelor star Ben Higgins and Jason Tartick, Wills Reid and Blake Horstmann from Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette.

Colton, a charity founder, self-declared virgin and former professional football player, however, was selected following his stint on Bachelor in Paradise's fifth season this summer.

Colton accepted the opportunity after failing to find lasting love with Becca and Tia Booth.

When asked whether Jonathan would star on The Bachelor as long as he did not have to propose marriage at the end and commit to a woman after only a couple of months, the contractor joked, "Oh, just frivolous sex? Oh, that sounds fun."

Jonathan and his girlfriend of more than two years, Jacinta Kuznetsov, publicly announced they had decided to part ways back in April.

Meanwhile, Drew is happily married to Linda Phan, with whom he tied the knot in an outdoor Italian ceremony in May. Drew, who previously competed on Dancing with the Stars, gushed to Us that being married is "amazing."

"We just did our honeymoon a couple weeks back," Drew said. "We went down to Ecuador, half of it was building bathrooms in a small community in the Amazon rain forrest, so philanthropic. Half of it was relaxing on the Galapagos islands."
