Despite telling Chris Harrison she intends to marry Gentry -- with whom she's expecting her first child -- on May 1 during ABC's The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love special that aired Sunday night, Rose is now saying they intend to wait longer, Us Weekly reported.

The couple is postponing their nuptials so they can have more time with the wedding-planning process.

"I want to just focus on this baby, so we decided to call [the May wedding] off and wait until after the baby comes to do anything," the 32-year-old reality TV star said.

Rose confirmed she's expecting a baby on Monday, writing on Instagram how she couldn't be more excited. They were apparently trying for a baby but Rose didn't expect to conceive so soon. Regardless, Rose said she is "ready" and due September 24.

The couple began dating in November after meeting at work. Rose is the director of business development for Gentry Law Group, while Gentry is an attorney there. Although Gentry never officially popped the question, Rose insisted they consider themselves engaged.

Rose initially vied for the affection of Lorenzo Borghese on The Bachelor's ninth season. She then competed on the second and third editions of Bachelor Pad and later appeared on VH1's You're Cut Off! reality series.

The Bachelor airs every Monday night from 8-10PM ET/PT on ABC.
