The Bachelor host Chris Harrison has had a lot to say about Colton Underwood's upcoming season, but he could pretty much sum everything up in one word.

That word is "unpredictable."

"Maybe 'unpredictable' is a good way to describe his season, where we had to wake up and go with it," Harrison recently told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview.

Harrison suggested every day was a new one with Colton and the production team just had to go with the flow and follow Colton's lead.

"Every season takes on the feel and personality of whoever the Bachelor or Bachelorette is, and you kind of cater the season to them," Harrison explained.

"As a producer, it's fluid. You start a season with the same kind of ideas of how you're going to produce and work with somebody, but once you get to know them, that changes. You have to adapt to what makes them comfortable."

Colton previously said he did things his way while filming The Bachelor's 23rd season and, as a result, "changed the game."

Well, Harrison -- who has said Colton's edition of The Bachelor will be a "wild ride" as well as "gut-wrenching" -- seems to agree with the sentiment Colton was truly in touch with who he is.

"Colton was more of the organic feel where he was really going with the flow, so things would change on a whim," Harrison told The Reporter, adding that producers thought Colton was a joy to work with.

"He was unbelievably gracious and kind and the crew and everybody absolutely loved working for him. He made it super easy because I think everyone fed off his vibe. Everyone relaxed a little bit and I think you'll feel that in the show. It was a lot more laid-back and a lot more open."

Colton, a self-declared virgin, got his start on reality television when he dated Becca Kufrin on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season.

After failing to win her heart, he asked Tia Booth to be his girlfriend on Bachelor in Paradise's fifth season in Summer 2018, but he called it quits on their relationship halfway through the season because she wasn't "the one."

Colton will now have his chance to pick the woman of his dreams when The Bachelor premieres its new season on Monday, January 7 at 8PM ET/PT with a special three-hour event on ABC.
