In post-show press, Joey and Kelsey said they want to have a long engagement, and so the couple explained how waiting to tie the knot will affect their timeline for becoming parents during the March 28 episode of "The Viall Files" podcast.

"I was honest with everyone throughout [The Bachelor] process, like, what my idea was for [marriage and kids], because it is different meeting someone on the show," Joey explained to The Bachelor's Season 21 star Nick Viall.

"I think it would be wrong to jump into a marriage too quickly because we are learning and dating again, and we have so much to look forward to."

Joey continued, "But yeah, we decided that a three-year engagement kind of made sense. That's what we were thinking, but I know that can change. We definitely want to have the ability to enjoy our marriage."

Joey acknowledged, however, how "things happen" and "things can change."

The Bachelor star also confirmed that he and Kelsey both "definitely want kids."

"I don't know if it ever made it on the show, but Kelsey always wanted to adopt. That was something that she was really big on," Joey shared.

"And she wants to probably have, like, 20 kids. I would rather stay more in, like, the three range."

Joey went on to reveal how the lovebirds "already have the name of our first kid picked out" for the future.

"It's easy because it would be taking [Kelsey's] last name. Anderson is her last name, and so it will obviously be her maiden name," Joey said.

"We kind of love it most for a girl, calling her Andi. So Anderson Graziadei is the idea of the first kid."

Joey concluded that he and Kelsey are certainly "talking about this stuff."

The tennis pro concluded, "We want to build a beautiful family because we already have two beautiful families of our own. But yeah, we're taking things slow because I think that's important after doing something like this."

Joey chose Kelsey over his runner-up, Daisy Kent, on The Bachelor's 28th season.

Daisy had predicted that Joey was going to dump her, and so she essentially beat Joey to the punch and bowed out gracefully at the Final Rose Ceremony.

Daisy told Joey that he wasn't going to choose her and so she should leave, and Joey confirmed that her gut instinct was correct.

Joey proceeded to propose marriage to Kelsey in Tulum, Mexico, and so the season ended with an engagement.

During the live After the Final Rose special, Kelsey and Joey were gifted a trip back to Jasper, Canada, and Joey gushed of his fiancee, "I now have my 'forever,' and I'm the luckiest guy there could be... I don't know how I'm going to have a boring day of life with her by my side."

Joey decided to visit Kelsey in her hometown of New Orleans after the show, and the couple said they plan to move to New York City this summer together.

While Kelsey and Joey have big travel plans for this year, they're also looking forward to the little things.

"There's dance classes, pottery classes, grocery shopping -- little things together and the big things. I'm just excited to do life together and just run to the store together," Kelsey told People.

And Joey noted how he can't wait to "see the world" with Kelsey, adding, "But then also just be a normal couple because we haven't gotten a chance to do that yet, so a lot to look forward to."
