Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff reportedly broke up for two major reasons.

After Soules, a 33-year-old farmer from Arlington, IA, left The Bachelor and immediately went to compete on Dancing with the Stars, Bischoff got left behind in the dust, RadarOnline reported.

Bischoff reportedly became less of a priority in Soules' life, as he was growing to love fame and his celebrity status. The 29-year-old former fertility nurse allegedly couldn't deal with the inflated ego of the once-humble Prince Farming.

"Chris had gone Hollywood, and was becoming very arrogant. And it got worse after appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Whitney didn't like the change in Chris, and he just didn't care. His ego was out of control," a source told RadarOnline.

And the second reason is reportedly that Bischoff found Soules to be "incredibly cheap."

"Chris refused to buy Whitney a plane ticket to see him in Iowa, forcing her to drive from Chicago," said the source. "Whitney felt she had to go to Iowa several weeks ago in an attempt to save the relationship. After arriving, it became obvious that Chris didn't care about the relationship."

Bischoff was present at Dancing with the Stars' twentieth-season finale and after-party to show her support for Soules after a couple weeks of no-shows. Although the couple appeared to be happy, the source said their relationship "had become very, very frosty."

"Whitney was contractually obligated to be there for the last show with Chris," the source added.

Even if things ended badly for Soules and Bischoff, the called-off engagement will probably still be tough on both of them.

"She will mourn the loss of the relationship, but realizes the breakup is for the best. Chris just isn't the person she thought he was," a Bischoff friend told the website.

Only two months after The Bachelor's nineteenth-season finale aired during which Soules proposed to Bischoff, the couple released a joint statement to the media confirming they've decided to call it quits. They were only engaged for about six months.

"Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement," the pair said in the statement. "They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey."
