Grant found the news "disappointing" and "concerning" because he thought meeting Dina's family would advance their connection, and The Bachelor star ended up eliminating Dina in fourth place.
While Dina had said prior to her ouster that she cared for Grant a lot and was starting to envision getting engaged to him at the Final Rose Ceremony, she certainly didn't leave The Bachelor crushed and in despair.
"It is such a time warp coming home from the show so it is all a blur," Dina told Us Weekly. "It's hard to think about it."
When asked for specifics on how long it took her to move on from Grant, Dina admitted, "I think, like, a few weeks... Is that bad?"
Dina, a self-proclaimed "ice queen," struggled to fully open up to Grant during The Bachelor process.
"I love to talk to new people, I am very warm. I love to meet new people and socialize," Dina explained.
"Getting to know the deep, real me, you are never going to see that unless I trust you, know you and love you. But with guys I've dated casually they say, 'Do you even have feelings? Why aren't you expressing yourself to me?' You don't deserve that, you don't know me."
Dina therefore noted of her relationship with Grant, "I don't think that I opened up quite as quickly as I could have at times."
But what appeared to really derail Grant and Dina's relationship was the fact her parents refused to meet Grant during the hometown date.
Dina explained to Grant during her hometown date, "Putting themselves out there is really difficult for them, so the idea of his daughter being with a man who's dating 25 women doesn't sit well with [my dad]... I don't want you to think that they have some issue with you, because they don't at all."

Dina explained that she ultimately chose to have her friends meet Grant instead of her family because she couldn't even convince herself at that point that Grant was The One for her.
In fact, Dina confessed that she started doubting if Grant was her match during the hometown date.
Although Dina has healed from her breakup with Grant, she apparently still wonders if their relationship would've progressed to the Fantasy Suite dates had he actually met her family.
Instead, Grant gave roses to Juliana Pasquarosa, Litia Garr and Zoe McGrady.
Dina wished Grant well after her elimination on The Bachelor, and she and Grant exchanged kind words.
"You know what you want and you know what you're looking for. Obviously I think you're amazing and I will treasure the time we spent together and getting to know you," Dina told Grant.
"You've taught me a lot about myself in ways I honestly never thought that I could even learn in such a short amount of time. I am ready to be engaged and I am ready for marriage. I got really close with you... but if you're seeing that with the other women, you need to go with your heart."

Dina told Parade in a separate interview, "Do I think that Grant ultimately was my person? No. That's okay. I have to take everything I learned and make sure I'm open and vulnerable in my next relationship."
Even though Dina didn't find lasting love on The Bachelor, she hinted that she remains optimistic about finding her future husband.
