The YouTube hosts became the fourth team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's fifth Pit Stop at the Dr. Paccard Statue in Chamonix, France, in last place.

The Amazing Race broadcast began with "Best Friends" Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith leaving the fourth Pit Stop in first place at 10:46AM.

Brodie and Kurt were followed by "Best Friends" Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl in second place at 10:47AM, "Dating Couple" Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina in third place at 10:48AM, and then "Dating Couple" Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins at 10:49AM. No other departure times were shown.

After the teams changed into warm, winter clothes, they were instructed to search the streets for a car with the correct license plate and then travel in that car to Les Grands Montets Gondola Station.

Brodie and Kurt arrived at the gondola station in first place. On their heels were Tyler and Korey, Burnie and Ashley, Dana and Matt, "Mother and Son" Sheri LaBrant and Cole LaBrant, "Newlyweds" Zach King and Rachel King, "Father and Daughter" Scott Fowler and Blair Fowler, and finally Erin and Joslyn.

The teams' next set of clues sent them 11,000 feet up Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Central Europe dubbed "The White Mountain," via gondola in order to get their next clue perched on the edge of the icy mountain. They quickly discovered one member from each team must zipline out to the edge to get a hold of the clue.

Ashley had to zipline twice because she dropped her clue along the way back. Sheri ziplined because Cole is terribly afraid of heights, but Sheri cried halfway to her clue. Later on, Joslyn proved she had no fear. Sheri and Cole finished the ziplining in last place.

It then became time for the teams to complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "Dynamite" or "Campsite."

"Dynamite" required the teams to collect two bundles of dynamite and then traverse the side of the mountain to a waiting member of the ski patrol. After handing over the dynamite and baguettes they had already been carrying, the ski patrol member would throw the dynamite, loosening snow to prevent future avalanches, and the teams would earn their next clue.

"Campsite" required the teams to pitch a tent and build a protective snow wall around it.

All the teams opted to do "Dynamite" except for Burnie and Ashley, who figured they might end up with an advantage since they were the only team attempting "Campsite." However, Burnie and Ashley underestimated how much time and endurance it would take to shovel the snow.

Erin and Joslyn lost a lot of time looking for the lunches to bring to the ski patrol member; They didn't realize the baguettes they already had in their bags were the lunches.

Brodie and Kurt finished the Detour task in first place followed by Tyler and Korey, and then Dana and Matt. In the back of the pack were Erin and Joslyn in sixth place, Burnie and Ashley in seventh, and finally Sheri and Cole in eighth place.

The teams then learned they must make their way by car to Planpraz Gondola Station and search for their next clue.

Brodie and Kurt arrived at the second gondola station in first place. Erin and Joslyn, Burnie and Ashley, and Sheri and Cole were still trailing behind the rest of the teams in sixth to eighth place.

A Roadblock task was up next, which turned out to be quite an adventure. One member from each team had to paraglide more than 7,000 feet off the side of the mountain and spot a yet waving a French flag on the way down. If the Racers could correctly tell the judge which flag they had seen, they'd receive their next clue.

Korey performed the Roadblock in addition to Brodie, Matt, Blair, Rachel, Sheri, Ashley, and Erin.

A few of the Racers failed to take off on their first attempts. They had to run and get enough speed in order for their parachute to fly. Brodie therefore allowed Korey to pass him, and Erin fell into last place because both Sheri and Ashley were able to take off before her. Erin finally appeared to fly on her third try.

Tyler and Korey finished the Roadblock task in first place. They were soon followed by Brodie and Kurt, Dana and Matt, Scott and Blair, Zach and Rachel, Sheri and Cole, Burnie and Ashley, and Erin and Joslyn.

Afterward, the teams were instructed to make their way to the Pit Stop at the Dr. Paccard Statue.

Tyler and Korey stepped on the Pit Stop mat before any of the other teams and won a trip for two to Boracay, a small island in the Philippines.

Brodie and Kurt finished the leg in second place, while Dana and Matt secured third. Behind Dana and Matt were Scott and Blair in fourth place, Zach and Rachel in fifth, Burnie and Ashley in sixth, Sheri and Cole in seventh, and lastly Erin and Joslyn in eighth place.

The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan announced Erin and Joslyn had been eliminated from the Race. Although the girls were disappointed, they felt grateful for the incredible and very blessed.
