Temptation Island featured Evan Smith feeling torn between Morgan Lolar and Kaci Campbell after watching Kaci get emotional in a video message and Kady Cannon Krambeer questioning whether she had made a mistake during Tuesday night's episode on USA Network.

The established couples are Evan, 28, and Kaci, 29, who currently reside in Los Angeles, CA; John Thurmond, 35, and Kady, 30, who currently resides in Fort Worth, TX; Javen Butler, 25, and Shari Ligons, 25, who currently reside in San Francisco, CA; and Karl Collins, 31, and Nicole Tutewohl, 25, who currently resides in Chicago, IL.
The significant others -- who were at a crossroads in their relationships -- traveled together to the tropical paradise of Maui, Hawaii, to live the "single life," and each of them would have an opportunity to date up to 12 singles awaiting them.
The stakes were high and hearts were on the line, but each exclusive couple seemed pretty confident at first their bonds would outlast and conquer any temptation. However, everyone was taking a great risk.
The Temptation Island broadcast began with Kaci thinking the absolute worst after the bonfire meeting. She cried to a producer, saying they couldn't comprehend how hard this process was for her.
"When I watch the clips, I don't even recognize him," Kaci said of Evan.
"He's getting things from other girls -- one girl, it looks like, specifically -- and he might be ruining something he's not going to be able to get back if he takes it too far."
Watching clips of Kady was also "sobering" for John because he was shocked his girlfriend allowed another man in her bed.

"I don't want to be with a weak woman. She talks about me being a weak man or a man who's not alpha enough for her, and then she goes and does this," John vented to the three other men in relationships.
Evan was upset to hear his friends discuss how Kady was weak because he had also entered the journey with rules and restrictions for his relationship with Kaci -- and he broke them.

Evan was worried what the boys thought about him because their opinions of him meant a lot.
Meanwhile, Kaci was feeling anxiety about Evan's behavior, and she told the group of single men that if Evan had sex, their relationship was probably over.
Kaci contemplated whether or not to send Evan a 30-second message, but the single men advised Kaci to not give him anything.
As for Nicole, she was discovering herself and finding her independence, and so she didn't want to see a message from Karl that was going to drag her back down.
Nicole didn't want to be wrapped up in a surface-level romance, and she was afraid that's what she had with Karl.
John wasn't sure whether he wanted to send Kady a message either. He was in emotional turmoil and eventually broke down into tears. Luckily, Hannah Rightmire was there to comfort him.

John figured it might make sense to tell Kady she was breaking his heart and making poor choices.

It then became time for the people in committed relationships to embark on dates with single men or women.
Kady went on a beach date with Johnny Alexander, and she found their romance exciting and fresh. The pair eventually engaged in a makeout session in beach chairs.
Javen went paddleboarding with Erica Nichole Steinhauer, whom he went on a ziplining date with earlier in the season. Javen liked her feisty personality, and he was beginning to focus on only one or two singles in order to take the process more seriously.
Meanwhile, Shari enjoyed a date with Justin Sturm, and she was opening up more and more every day. She was afraid, however, to go too far off the deep end and not be able to return.
And Nicole embarked on her third date with Tyler Sabino. The pair received massages and Nicole found it refreshing to not be judged and feel free in a relationship. Tyler apparently brought out a side to Nicole that Karl never did.
As for Kaci, she went on a date with Jonathan Luna because he made her laugh and managed to get her out of funks. Kaci knew she could have fun with Luna and he'd offer her a shoulder to lean on.

"I just came into this so frustrated with Evan. I was really oblivious to all the anger I still have with him. I wish I could take it back, like, I made mistakes too and I could treat him a lot better," Kaci told the cameras.
"I want to hold his hand and make out with him and just let the past go."
Luna assured Kaci it was very unlikely Evan had fallen out of love with her in such a short period of time.
But Evan was falling in love with Morgan Lolar, and she didn't expect to like a guy so much on the show. The couple kissed on a beach and then Evan let Morgan know how he was feeling.
"I thought I was going to come here and be tempted and maybe just realize I'm not supposed to be with Kaci -- not actually meet the person I might want to be with forever," Evan told Morgan.

"I will not let you down if you go all in with me," Evan told Morgan, who then promised to go "all in."
That night, Brittney told Karl that he's a good man and deserved someone good. Karl appreciated Brittney's support, and their date was absolutely what he needed at this point of the journey. Brittney provided a release for him.
Brittney said it was "crazy" how connected she felt with Karl, and he acknowledged he's a firm believer in what is meant to happen will happen.
Brittney loved it when Karl touched her, and she couldn't stop touching him, so Karl was being tempted more than ever.

Brittney thought their connection was powerful, but she was afraid because her heart had been "shredded" the last time she felt this way about a man. Karl simply asked her to be patient with him.
Nicole was also feeling a strong connection with Tyler. Nicole could tell he really liked her, and she was looking for depth in a relationship.
Tyler told Nicole the butterflies should never disappear in a relationship and she deserved to feel special every day.
Meanwhile, Shari found she had a lot of similarities with Justin. He liked how smart and loyal she seemed to be, and Justin was definitely developing feelings for her.
"Anything worth it isn't going to be easy," Justin told the cameras, who said he was willing to chase and fight for Shari.
Katheryn Golden then asked Evan for advice on how to approach John because she felt they had potential.

But as Evan was sharing his thoughts with Katheryn -- and Morgan, who was sitting with Katheryn -- he revealed the men could send their partners 30-second messages and he had declined the opportunity.
At that moment, Morgan realized Evan had yet to tell Kaci their relationship was over, and she wasn't happy.
"He is scared to pull the trigger. That bothers me. That's going to make it where I'm not going to fully, fully believe him," Morgan expressed in a confessional.

John then sat down with Katheryn and opened up about how Kady had been manipulating him in their relationship and making him feel like he was always wrong.
Katheryn said John became "more and more attractive" to her every day, but he needed to be willing to let go of what was holding him back. John was attracted to Katheryn as well, but he wanted "an emotional connection" first.
As for Kady, Wynn Sarden didn't feel he was "out of the game," although she was clearly gravitating towards Johnny. Kady could feel the tension and asked Wynn to respect what she had going on with Johnny.
When Kady got into bed that night, Wynn showed up to her bedroom and wanted to talk. He attempted to warn Kady about Johnny, but she felt Johnny had showed her nothing but respect because he had yet to make a move on her other than kiss.
It then became time for the people in relationships to communicate with their significant others via video messages.
Karl told Nicole that he loved her and missed her. He said the experience had been "fun and crazy," and while he was disappointed by some of the thing he had seen Nicole do, he still loved and cared about her.
"I thought his message would be more, like, self-reflecting instead of judging. I feel like being here as really taught me a lot about myself, and I don't think he can really understand what I've been going through," Nicole told the cameras.

Nicole in bed with another man was in the back of Karl's mind. He then watched a video from his girlfriend, who admitted their relationship had been "surface level" and they needed to uncover a new depth and communication with each other.
Karl agreed his relationship with Nicole lacked substance and they needed to work on that.
Kaci really wanted Evan to explain to her what was going on, but he left no video message for her. She was a little bit hurt there was no video for her, but she anticipated Evan would get emotional watching what she had to say.
"I'm the only one of us [guys] who didn't send a video message. I don't want to hurt Kaci, and I can't help but feel every single emotion, from happiness to absolute despair," Evan said in a confessional.
"I respect her too much to try to tell her in 30 seconds. Even though we may love each other, it doesn't mean we're supposed to be together forever."
In Kaci's video for Evan, she expressed her love and said she missed him but was having fun.
"I think you'd be so proud of me. Just be the man I know you want to be," Kaci told him in the video message.
"Because I'm seeing old Evan, and I know that's not who you are. I know you want to make me proud, so just please do that. I don't want you to have to give up on me and give up on us."
Evan broke down into tears to see Kaci "hurting so bad." He admitted Kaci didn't deserve this and she had been the girl he cared about more than anyone for years.
Evan acknowledged he had shared his entire life with Kaci, and he was clearly torn over what to do.

Shari then watched her video from Javen, who said he was having fun and loosening up and he hoped for the same from her. Javen said he missed her and was thinking about her every night and hopefully they could reconnect at the end of the show.
Shari was actually proud and happy that her boyfriend was growing and developing as a man. She wanted them both to have relationships outside of each other.
In return, Shari told Javen she loved and missed him. She said she had grown and become stronger and more grounded. She concluded her message by saying, "I love you to the moon and back, and I can't wait to see you."
Javen was glad to see his "baby girl" was smiling and happy, and he gushed about how much he "truly" loved her.
Kady was really nervous to see what John had to say, but she was up next and had to face the music.
Kady began crying before she even watched the video. John said he loved and missed her and regretted signing up for the show to begin with.
"I saw some bonfire video I was very disappointed to see, and I'm very upset by that," John told Kady in the message.
"It really hurts me to see that. You might have been triggered by some bonfire videos you've seen of me. I've tried to maintain my loyalty to you and faithfulness to you. And that's all I want to tell you right now."
Kady didn't want to break John's heart, and she knew she had disrespected him. Kady was confused and confessed, "I might have made a mistake."

John came to Temptation Island thinking he and Kady were extremely strong and would get through the show together.
"I was even going to propose to Kady if she could get through this with loyalty and respect," John said in a confessional. "That obviously didn't happen."
John figured Kady was angry at him, felt too guilty to talk to him, or had fallen for the guy she had been taped with. John said if Kady could fall in love in such a short period of time, it would say a lot about who she is as a person.
Evan then cried to the guys about how he didn't want to be a monster. He didn't know what to do and confessed to being "all twisted."
"I feel like I'm just f-cking it up," Evan vented.
