The network has ordered eight episodes of the reality investigation series for broadcast this fall.

Destination Truth's fourth season will continue to follow adventurer and truth-seeker Josh Gates as he visits various global destinations that harbor some of the world's most notorious, supernatural and mysterious stories.

In addition to searching for evidence and talking to witnesses and experts, Gates and his small production crew also immerse themselves in the local culture as they try to debunk or prove the area's unexplained mysteries.

Some of the locations Destination Truth will visit during the show's fourth season will include Madagascar, Tanzania, Guam, Kenya and Cambodia. The team will also conduct its first underwater paranormal investigation when they travel to a remote Micronesian island to search for the spirits dwelling in a sunken fleet.

Destination Truth's third season debuted last fall and established all-time series highs with an average of 2.2 million total viewers and 1.3 million viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic.

Syfy will begin airing new Destination Truth third-season episodes tonight at 10PM ET/PT with a special St. Patrick's Day-themed episode that will feature a search for the legendary leprechaun.
