Survivor featured another tribal swap and the new Kele tribe voting out Shannon Fairweather during the Season 49 episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

The new Kele tribe voted out Shannon, a 28-year-old wellness specialist from Wakefield, MA, who currently resides in Boston, MA, in a 3-1 vote on Night 12 of the game at Tribal Council instead of Jawan Pitts, a 28-year-old video editor from Salem, NJ, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

"Going home is obviously disappointing. I think I connected too hard with too many people too quick," Shannon said in her final words.

"But that's who I am, so props to them. I wish them nothing but the best. This has been a dream come true. I am completely grateful and fulfilled with my experience, and I'm trusting that it happened the way that it was supposed to."

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 10 after a war had essentially broken out between the old Uli and Hina tribes.

Jawan said if his tribe had to go to Tribal Council again, it would be crazy to not target Sophi Balerdi, a 27-year-old entrepreneur from Miami, FL, who was not an original Uli member. He called her "expendable" and said he needed to protect his own.

However, Savannah Louie, a 31-year-old former reporter from Walnut Creek, CA, who currently resides in Atlanta, GA, said she wanted Jawan gone.

Savannah vented about how Jawan was using her bag for dirty sticks and listening in on her conversations. Savannah said she loved Jawan as a person but he was driving her "insane."

On Day 11, the three tribes met Survivor host Jeff Probst, who announced that there was going to be another tribal swap instead of the merge.

All the castaways dropped their buffs and selected a new one at random.

The new Hina tribe, wearing yellow, was made up of Sophi and Savannah as well as Michelle "MC" Chukwujekwu, a 29-year-old fitness trainer from Sachse, TX, who currently resides in San Diego, CA, and Rizo Velovic, a 25-year-old in tech sales from Yonkers, NY.

The new Uli tribe, wearing red, featured Alex Moore, a 27-year-old political communications director from Evanston, IL, who currently resides in Washington, D.C; Kristina Mills, a 36-year-old MBA career coach from Houston, TX, who currently resides in Edmond, OK; Nate Moore, a 47-year-old film producer from Clovis, CA, who currently resides in Hermosa Beach, CA; and Sophie Segreti, a 31-year-old strategy associate from Darnestown, MD, who currently resides in New York City, NY.

In addition to Jawan and Shannon, the rest of the new Kele tribe, wearing blue, featured Sage Ahrens-Nichols, a 30-year-old clinical social worker from Roxboro, NC, who currently resides in Olympia, WA, and Steven Ramm, a 35-year-old rocket scientist from Littleton, CO, who currently resides in Denver, CO.

Kristina suddenly sat down, appearing weak and faint in the brutal heat. Jeff called a medic over, and Kristina was given water.

Kristina quickly recovered and explained how she missed her family. The Survivor elements and the stress of being away from home apparently hit her at once.

Jeff then shared it was time for a Reward Challenge. Each tribe had to work together to push a cart along a very bump track, collecting sandbags along the way. Once they reached the first station, a tribe member would climb a ladder and use a pole to knock off two wooden discs.

After adding those sandbags to their cart, they'd continue to the next stage, where the same player would use the same stick to knock off two more wooden discs.

Once at the finish, each Survivor tribe would use one of those discs to knock over four bamboo targets.

The first tribe to finish would win Reward in the form of grilled cheese sandwiches, potato chips, iced tea and chocolate brownies. The second tribe to finish would receive grilled cheese.

Hina won the challenge, and Uli placed second, which meant Sophi would have her first meal in 11 days.

Sage admitted after the challenge that she didn't want to return to camp with Shannon, who had already thrown out her name and "simply couldn't be trusted." Sage said this could either work out great for her or really badly.

While eating her reward, Sophi said she ended up on a tribe with two of her close allies, Savannah and Rizo.

"So I genuinely feel safe in this situation right now. I think MC is in trouble," Sophi told the Survivor cameras.

MC openly acknowledged that she was the "odd man out" and that she was in a dangerous spot considering she had found the "Beware Advantage" and had no vote. But if MC found the idol, she boasted about how she'd be 100 percent safe.

"If we lose, I have to find that idol no matter what it takes. But Rizo has no idea that I know he has a Beware Advantage or an idol," MC explained in a confessional.

MC told Rizo that Sage had let everybody know he had an idol and so it would be important for them to stick together. Rizo told MC that he was "an open book," and the news didn't surprise him.

Rizo said a man with a lot of power strikes fear with people, and so he was happy to strike fear in his tribemates' hearts.

Over at Uli, Kristina was happy to be with Sophie and Alex, with whom she had already connected on Survivor.

Nate said he appeared to be at risk and the tribal swap couldn't have gone any worse for him. Nate tried to bond with his new tribemates by giving them information, but not everything he said was the truth.

Nate tried to show his new tribe that he was not "Uli strong" and was willing to work with Hina.

Alex, Sophie and Kristina wondered if Nate was feeding them lies and just telling them what they wanted to hear. Sophie was pretty sure that Nate was best friends with old Uli and that he needed to go if they ended up at Tribal Council.

Over at Kele's camp, Steven acknowledged the odds had shifted against him and so he worried that he was going to be "the easy person out." Steven therefore tried to buddy up with Jawan by telling jokes and having nerdy conversations.

Shannon then spoke with Jawan about how they needed to stick together, along with Sage, going forward.

Jawan told the Survivor cameras that he really liked Steven but it simply made sense for Steven to go home next.

On Day 12, the Uli tribe discussed how they needed to make Nate feel safe so he wouldn't play his "Shot in the Dark." Sophie also attempted to team up with Alex by saying she'd be willing to vote out Kristina.

"She's a tough cookie, and I respect that," Alex said of Sophie. "Unfortunately, Kristina and Nate's necks are on the line."

Meanwhile, Shannon said she felt totally confident in the new Kele tribe. She called herself "the luckiest person," saying good things happened to her.

Steven and Shannon spoke about how they trusted each other, and then Shannon felt the need to reconnect with Sage and become friends again. Shannon said she had to tone that down before when both women were on the bottom.

Shannon held Sage's hand and reminded her of how close they were, but Sage was still angry about how Shannon had thrown her under the bus for the last couple of days.

"Shannon has a new-turned leaf of, 'I want to work with you. There is a reason we ended up together.' But the reality is, Shannon didn't have my back. She's been playing a dirty game," Sage complained to the Survivor cameras.

"She is very snaky. She is very disingenuous, but she tries to lead with this front of authenticity, and I'm the only one that sees it... She'll be familiar with the word 'karma' considering her spiritual practices."

Sage was sweet to Shannon's face, but she essentially couldn't wait to get rid of her.

Over at the Hina tribe, Sophi was looking for some type of advantage in the jungle, and she found one in the crack of an enormous tree.

Sophi learned she had found the "Knowledge is Power" Advantage. Sophi said at Tribal Council, she could ask any player in the game if they had an idol or an advantage. If they did, it would become Sophi's advantage or idol.

Sophi said she knew Rizo had an idol but he was also an ally of hers. Sophi, however, was optimistic people would tell her things and she'd find out who else had something.

Later that day, the three new tribes met Jeff for Survivor's next Immunity Challenge.

Each tribe was instructed to race up and over a cargo net, move a heavy pile of sandbags, and retrieve a bag on top of the sandbags that contained sticks and string. Those sticks and string would be used to build a pole long enough to retrieve a key that would then release a ball.

Two tribe members would then work together to maneuver that ball through a table maze.

The first two tribes to finish would be safe from the vote, while the losing tribe would have to vote out the seventh player from Survivor 49.

In the end, Hina finished the Survivor challenge in first place, which left Jawan and Sage working on the maze next to Nate and Sophie.

It was a close call, but Uli pulled out a second-place victory, sending Kele to Tribal Council.

Steven admitted he was "scared" going to Tribal Council, and his tribe lost its flint as a punishment for losing.

Following their challenge loss, Shannon felt good working with Jawan and Sage, but she thought it would be more advantageous to her game to move forward with Steven.

Shannon told Steven, who had relationships with the original Hina members, that she trusted him and wanted to vote out Jawan as a result. Shannon said Jawan had no connections that she wanted to benefit from.

Suddenly, Steven said "Shark Shannon was out" and he was at the mercy of the old Uli tribe.

Shannon spoke to Sage about her plan, but it just annoyed Sage even more that Shannon was acting like the leader. Sage said her goal was to take out Shannon and revenge was "going to be sweet."

Sage knew taking Shannon out, however, would be risky and potentially paint a target on her back.

Sage warned Jawan that Shannon was going after him, and he called Sage's plan "icky," saying it clearly wasn't "paradise" with the old Uli members.

"She has to go," Sage told Jawan.

"Sage, you are a blessing. I love you so much. Thank you for having my back, and this changes everything," Jawan told Sage.

Jawan was hesitant about turning on the old Uli tribe, especially since he could still use Shannon going forward, but Sage reminded him that Shannon wasn't on his side.

On Night 12, the Kele tribe attended Tribal Council, and Steven told Jeff how the upcoming merge was driving all the decisions.

After each castaway wrote down their vote, Jeff read the votes aloud in the following order: Jawan, Shannon, Shannon, and Shannon.

Shannon hugged her fellow castaways, except for Sage, who confessed the hug wouldn't be genuine. Sage therefore shook Shannon's hand and told her that they'd talk after the game.

Shannon gushed about how the game was "so fun and so surreal." She was apparently leaving happy and feeling grateful.

"Nothing but love!" Shannon shouted at her Survivor tribemates while exiting the game.
