After the 10 castaways were randomly divided into two teams for the Immunity Challenge, MC, a 29-year-old fitness trainer from Sachse, TX, who currently resides in San Diego, CA, was voted off the losing team on Night 15 at Tribal Council in a 4-1 vote instead of Sophie Segreti, a 31-year-old strategy associate from Darnestown, MD, who currently resides in New York City, NY.

"This experience has been absolutely everything, although I wish I had more of a chance to try those individual challenges just to see how I would do," MC said in her final words.

"I know people saw me as a physical threat, and that made them want to vote me out. I found out that I'm stronger than what I thought I was. I just proved to myself that I'm able to do hard things."

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 14 at the new merged tribe's camp. They called themselves Lewatu.

Jawan Pitts, a 28-year-old video editor from Salem, NJ, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, boasted about how his alliance pulled off "the biggest move" of Survivor 49 and it felt amazing. He added, "Nothing is sweeter than a little bit of revenge."

Steven Ramm, a 35-year-old rocket scientist from Littleton, CO, who currently resides in Denver, CO, explained how Tribal Council solidified where the lines were "in such a sweet way."

Steven said the original Hina members were in control now with a majority of seven that included Jawan and Sage Ahrens-Nichols, a 30-year-old clinical social worker from Roxboro, NC, who currently resides in Olympia, WA, as well as Alex Moore, a 27-year-old political communications director from Evanston, IL, who currently resides in Washington, D.C.

Steven boasted about how Savannah Louie, a 31-year-old former reporter from Walnut Creek, CA; Rizo Velovic, a 25-year-old in tech sales from Yonkers, NY; and Sophi Balerdi, a 27-year-old entrepreneur from Miami, FL, felt like they were running the show and now they're "spooked."

"It's about time they know what it feels like to be on the bottom," Steven told the cameras.

Jawan said Savannah and Rizo were next on his "hit list," and Sophi told the cameras that if she had to cut Savannah or Rizo to stay in the game, she'd be totally willing to do that.

Jawan apologized to Rizo for blindsiding him, and Rizo noted he'd love to work with Sage and Jawan going forward.

Since MC had played her hidden Immunity Idol, it got put back in the game.

Alex, Steven and Kristina Mills, a 36-year-old MBA career coach from Houston, TX, who currently resides in Edmond, OK, went searching for it, and Kristina ended up finding the idol. It was an actual idol; not just a "Beware Advantage."

Alex and Steven were present for Kristina's find, and so the trio had a new secret to keep.

On Day 15, Jawan admitted he was afraid of Savannah, and Sophie attempted to do some damage control by getting the other Sophi on her side.

Sophie tried to bond with Sophi by throwing Savannah under the bus. And when Savannah approached the two women to talk strategy, they didn't give Savannah any straight answers.

"It's really hurtful that [Sage] is painting me out to be this person who is so conniving and has all this power and is this strategic mastermind," Savannah said in a confessional, adding how Sage couldn't "paint herself as a victim" when she was the one with the knife "who was doing all the stabbing."

Savannah cried about how she felt left out, like no one wanted anything to do with her. Savannah admitted she felt like "a loser," which brought up bad work memories for her.

Later that day, the remaining 10 castaways met Survivor host Jeff Probst for the next Individual Immunity Challenge.

Jeff explained the castaways must use their hands and arms to brace themselves in between two walls while their feet balanced on very narrow footholds. At regular intervals, the players had to move down to even smaller footholds, making it more difficult to stay put.

If at any point a person dropped, he or she would be out of the challenge.

And there was a twist to the challenge. Jeff explained the castaways would be randomly divided into two groups of five castaways.

"You will compete against each other as groups. The winning group, everybody earns immunity and everybody is safe. That group will not go to Tribal Council," Jeff explained.

"The losing five, nobody is safe and nobody has immunity. That group will go to Tribal Council. In addition, the person who lasts the longest overall earns an advantage, and if that wasn't enough, you're also playing for Reward."

The winning five would enjoy deli sandwiches back at camp, including ham and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

The next person voted out would become the ninth person voted out of Survivor 49 and the second member of the jury.

After drawing rocks, the teams were Sophie, Rizo, MC, Jawan and Sage vs. Sophi, Steven, Kristina, Alex and Savannah.

Kristina dropped first, and then she was followed by Alex, Rizo, MC, and Steven.

After 15 minutes, Jawan was out, and then he was followed by Sage.

The challenge therefore came down to Savannah for yellow and Sophie for blue. Sophie appeared to be struggling more than Savannah, and after more than 20 minutes, Sophie dropped.

Savannah therefore won immunity for her group as well as an advantage, and she gushed about how she really needed this victory and she won for her boyfriend back home.

"I always wanted to win immunity, and it couldn't have come at a better time," Savannah gushed to Jeff in tears.

The losing tribe went back to the old Uli beach together, and so all of their previous plans were now deemed irrelevant and useless.

After the challenge, Sophie was hoping to bring in MC, Sage and Jawan to vote out Rizo. However, Rizo had an idol, which Sophie acknowledged would complicate things.

Jawan then tried to keep Rizo comfortable by saying MC or Sophie was going to be his target. He explained to Rizo that MC had kept information from him before -- and so he didn't really trust her -- but Sophie was a challenge threat.

Sophie proceeded to share with MC how she planned to put one vote on Jawan in case Rizo played his idol. MC, however, told the cameras that she trusted Jawan and didn't want to see him go home.

MC therefore confided in Jawan that Sophie was going to throw one vote his way in case Rizo put a vote on Sophie and played an idol. This news rattled Jawan to his core, and so Jawan began thinking maybe Sophie was the better option to target.

Meanwhile, Savannah received her advantage and learned she'd be able to cast a vote at Tribal Council. Not only that, but she'd be able to talk to the losing team members before casting her vote.

"[You] have an important decision," the scroll read. "Use this vote tonight to ensure the result you want or secretly save this vote for use at a future Tribal Council."

Savannah therefore took a boat ride over to the losing team at Uli's camp.

Jawan, meanwhile, was flipping "all over the place" at the time, telling Sage that they should keep Rizo now.

Sage decided to warn Sophie that Jawan was starting to plot against her, and Sophie complained about how MC had just blown up the game.

In attempt to do some damage control, Sophie apologized to Jawan for saying she'd put one vote on him. Sophie said this was her biggest mistake in the game yet and hopefully she could recover from it.

Savannah spoke to Rizo first and let him know that she had an opportunity to bank her vote. She asked him not to tell anyone, and Rizo was so excited about the news.

"I'm going to flip the script and put a target on MC's back!" Rizo revealed.

Rizo went to work trying to convince the other castaways to vote MC out because her web of connections extended wide. Rizo also liked the idea of picking up Sophie for the blindside.

Sophie told the cameras it was "insane" that Rizo was trying to take control of the vote. She also took his sudden desire to work together with a grain of salt because she figured he'd run back to his old allies after this twist.

Sophie had to decide between taking out Rizo or MC, who admitted she felt "weird energy" from Sophie.

"I don't think Sophie is telling me the truth," MC told the cameras, asking Sophie to stick with the original plan of Rizo.

Sage, meanwhile, was trying to choose between Sophie, Rizo and MC, and she had to take Savannah's presence into account.

"It seems like everyone is on a totally different page right now. I don't even know if I'm reading the same book as everyone," Sage complained to the Survivor cameras.

On Night 15 at Tribal Council, Sophie told Jeff that they had three former Uli members plus Savannah, which made it tough.

Sophie cut to the chase and told Jeff that the vote was going to come down to her or MC.

Right before the vote, MC asked to speak with Jawan, and she whispered into his ear. While the pair was off talking, Rizo assured everyone else that he was with them.

A bunch of whispers then broke out with Rizo not privy to the conversations.

When it became time to vote, Savannah chose to save her vote for another time, when she'd really need it.

Jeff proceeded to read the votes in the following order: MC, Sophie, MC, and MC.

Sophie congratulated MC on a game well played and said there was no way anyone could beat her in the end.

"Holy sh-t, I can't believe I did that," Rizo was shown whispering to himself.

The episode's closing credits later showed that Sophie, Sage, Jawan and Rizo voted for MC.

MC voted for Sophie.
