So You Think You Can Dance determined its Top 20, consisting of 10 Stage dancers and 10 Street dancers, during Monday night's episode of the reality dancing competition's twelfth season on Fox.
Monday night's broadcast featured the conclusion of the Las Vegas Callbacks during which the remaining 36 Stage and 38 Street dancers had to perform in a group round and then a final round of choreography.
For the group round, the hopefuls had to choreograph their own routine to the music provided by either their Team Street or Team Stage Captain -- Stephen "tWitch" Boss or Travis Wall, respectively.
For those that survived the difficult group round, the dancers had to endure a third round of choreography. The Street dancers learned a hard-hitting hip-hop routine by Napolean and Tabitha. The Stage dancers attempted to master a jazz number choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.
After the choreography round, only 24 Stage dancers and 23 Street dancers were left. Every performer was hopeful to earn a coveted spot in the Top 20 and eventually dance live for America's vote.
Unfortunately, So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley announced in the closing credits that one of the Top 20 contestants had to withdraw due to injury. That person's replacement will receive a second chance in the competition and be revealed in the next episode.
