Sara Von Gillern and Dominic Sandoval were sent packing during last night's live results show of So You Think You Can Dance's third season, becoming the seventh male and female finalists to be eliminated from the Fox reality competition series.

Sara, a 23-year-old hip-hop/B-girl dancer from Ft. Collins, CO, and Dominic, a 21-year-old B-boy/hip-hop dancer from Roseville, CA, were two of the Top 8 finalists to receive the lowest number of viewer votes. They were joined by Lauren Gottlieb, an 18-year-old contemporary/jazz dancer who currently lives in Sherman Oaks, CA, and Neil Haskell, a 20-year-old contemporary jazz dancer from Clarence Center, NY, as members of the bottom four.
Sara and her partner Danny Tidwell, a 23-year-old contemporary/Jazz dancer from New York, NY, performed an Argentinean tango and hip-hop routine on Wednesday night. Following their tango, So You Think You Dance guest judge -- Hairspray director and choreographer Adam Shankman -- said he was "so proud" of Sara because she was the "most transformed" dancer on the show. However the reviews of the duo's hip-hop routine were less than stellar.
"It didn't do it for me. I'm sorry," said So You Think You Can Dance permanent judge Mary Murphy. "It wasn't hard hitting enough." Apparently the home viewers agreed with Mary.
"I feel really good about what I've done and I feel more confident," said Sara during a video montage of her So You Think You Can Dance 3 journey. "It was worth it. I'm only going to be a stronger dancer and more motivated to keep dancing."
Dominic and Lauren were paired together on Wednesday night, and they performed a crump and rumba routine. Adam gave their crump "two thumbs up," while Mary thought it "started to die a little bit in energy" halfway through. Adam commented Dominic's b-boy friends would be "impressed and proud" with his rumba, but Mary didn't think there was enough "sunshine" on the stage.
"I want to be known as a dancer. I think I can call myself a dancer now," said Dominic during a video montage of his So You Think You Can Dance 3 experience. "I just want to know that inside, I know I did my best. It's not an end to anything. If anything, it's a new beginning."
So You Think You Can Dance 3's Top 6 finalists are: Danny; Lauren; Neil; Sabra Johnson, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from Roy, UT; Lacey Schwimmer, an 18-year-old swing and international Latin dancer from Redlands, CA; and Pasha Kovalev, a 27-year-old Latin ballroom dancer from Fort Lee, NJ.
Next Wednesday, August 8 at 8PM ET/PT, the Top 6 finalists will all be performing two couples routines during the 60-minute broadcast. However due to an NFL preseason game on Thursday, August 9, So You Think You Can Dance 3's results show for that week will air on Monday, August 13 at 8PM ET/PT.
So You Think You Can Dance 3 will air its final performance show -- a two-hour broadcast -- on Wednesday, August 15 at 8PM ET/PT. The show's season finale -- another expanded two-hour broadcast -- will air live the following night on Thursday, August 16 beginning at 8PM ET (PT tape-delayed).
