Following the tremendous success of the one-hour special, "Extreme Makeover," which originally aired on ABC on Wednesday, December 11, and was rebroadcast with new footage on Wednesday, December 18, ABC will air seven additional one-hour episodes which will premiere on THURSDAY, APRIL 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET).

Unlike the original special, which took three individuals - Stacey, Stephanie and Luke - chosen from thousands of applicants across the country, each new episode of "Extreme Makeover" will have only two candidates. These candidates' looks will be changed completely in an effort to transform their lives and destinies, and to make their dreams come true. This will all be accomplished through the skills of a group of doctors, a plastic surgeon, an eye surgeon and a cosmetic dentist, along with a talented team of hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers. In the future episodes, surgeons from both the East and West Coast will perform the procedures.

Aside from hosting TV Food Network's "Ready... Set... Cook!," Biggers was a regular on NBC's "Later Today Show," where she also substituted as a co-anchor. Biggers continued on to the "Today Show" as a food and lifestyle contributor, and also regularly showcased her brand of personality-driven information in off-beat food and lifestyle segments for the "Rosie O'Donnell Show" and CBS' "Early Show."
